As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Cheer up lads - Arsene reckons we can still win it because of our nice, easy run-in. Now of course a number of us have spotted the annual fly swatting will start with Watford at home, and the likes of Swansea, West Brom, Palace, Norwich and Villa all still to visit the bowl.
Just one little hiccup in the plan Arsene......
Wenger has apparently set his squad the target of being within a point of the top with a month to go as he feels his side can make up the ground due to the quality of opposition in that final stretch.

Again motivating the opposition teams in the final month by totally disrespecting them with his arrogance at taking the necessary points off the teams in the last few games You can bet your bottom dollar that this quote will be dragged up just as we go into the "easy" run of fixtures, and every one of those opposition players and teams will be out to shove those words down wenkers throat
So far I am doing extremely well in my boycott of all games at the grove as I haven't set foot in the place for a couple of seasons and of course have given up my season tickets
Next weekend I am over in London and will be getting my footie fix by going to see qpr v Fulham - hardly a thrilling prospect I know, but fucked if I am going to contribute even a penny to le cock's £8m per season contract and wiggy's £3m per season advice
We couldn't even manage 2nd last season because the likes of Swansea and Sunderland at home stopped us. May well have just said "Judge me in May". Delusion reigns supreme.

My boycott was going fine but now my 10 year old son Jack wants to get over to games and I feel terrible denying him the thrill of it as he isn't cynical at all about The Arsenal and just breathes and lives for the Gunners. I don't know what to do. TBH I'll probably fold and bring him but it will sicken me to give a cent to Wiggy, Arsene, and the pampered couldn't-give-a-fuck mercenary millionaires that play for us.

It is much harder if you've got a lad who is genuinely interested and have had this with my eldest. Thankfully he's 16 this year so I'm already in the 'uncool Dad' box so he'll be going more regularly with mates from now on and has also got into watching the local non league team (poor bugger). I've tried to use FA Cup away days as my compromise i.e. where we get a big allocation but haven't been too many of those (and last season's ManUre was 'on a school night'). I feel less of a problem with the League Cup because they charge a tenner but its midweek again of course. At least these days they get to see a lot of Arsenal on TV compared to when we were kids but appreciate its not the same experience as actually going to games.

I understand that I was put under considerable pressure from the wife to bring the kids for my eldest's birthday this month, but thankfully that plan subsided I dont want to deny my sons and I want them to be as passionate/obsessive about The Arsenal as I was/am, but seeing as the fans are still not uniting in a big protest/demonstration, I have to make my principiled stand where I can

his past achievement aren't being called into question, most of us will happily celebrate the invincibles or even the '98 team as our best ever, but it simply isn't relevant to judging him anymore. especially when a lot of our fans just the yardstick for success as a totally different one to the one that was used back then when success wasn't finishing 2nd, let alone 4th.
Think if you scan the last few pages you will find his past achievements called into question by various posters although I didn't indicate this at all in my post.

Ancelotti was my favourite to take over but now that ship has sailed, Pep was obviously a great option too but another one missed so that leaves mourinho and pellegrini as two high profile managers definitely available.
Would take either at this point.
As far as I'm concerned, he deserves all the vitriol he gets. This is a man who said a few seasons ago, when referencing the high prices we pay in to the Emirates, "you go to the game, and then judge was it worth the price you paid ". This from someone who earns 8M a year to do sweet fuck all and had the cheek to talk down to the fans. Add to that him lashing out at anyone who questions him, then he deserves all the criticism he gets.

What a complete dickhead he is. Set them the target of being six points clear by then and fucking fine the lot of them if they aren't. Even his 'targets' are fucking second or third rate.

Maybe so but I know that I am not the only one who has taken this step - the way I see it is that an avalanche has to start with a few pebbles (or in my case a boulder ) falling first, and if I believe in something then I have no problem standing by that. Some might say that I am only punishing myself and my kids, but others would say that by contributing money (be that through tickets, merchandise or whatever) it is condoning the way that the club is being run and will ensure that nothing will change
WHAT FUCKING TRANSFERS?
We already have £80m+ in reserve which he refuses to spend, how much more do we need to stockpile?
I foresee another invoice in the summer from Stan's other company, this time £10m for services rendered.
