the new TV deal for the Premier League makes the Champions League revenue less important from next season.

the main thing for Kroenke is that we stay in the Premier League.

the sad thing is that the new TV deal means that the Premier League and certainly London will become the place to be in the next few years. up until now the top players have had the choice of Chelsea and( if they can be bought cheaply) Arsenal.

with West Ham and Spurs moving to new stadiums they will also become very big clubs in the next decade. The only way for Arsenal to stay ahead (and they could) is if they finally show some ambition

So what the hell does that say about us and the state we are in? Still backing Citeh to win it. So long as Aguero can stay fit 70% of the season left, they will breeze it. You're still completely missing the point: nobody is lauding the Spuds as world beaters. What's being pointed out, is that 60% of the season in, and the Spuds:

* Are above us in the league
* Have scored more goals than us
* Have conceded less goals than us
* Have lost less games than us
* Have a better striker than us
* Have a better and more balanced midfield than us
* Have a better defence than us

None of that above is up for debate and 95% of sane football watching fans wouldn't dispute the above.

And that is despite spending a fraction of what we do on wages. Fact is, in a season where we should be well clear we are currently focused mainly on finishing ahead of Spuds. Everyone knows we can't win the league so we have lowered the bar again. All those points I mentioned above should never, EVER be happening. That they are is for obvious reasons....
