As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Arsenal v QPR, 3 Jan 1994, got taken on the spur of the moment by my relatives who live three streets away from Highbury (bloody hell, how long ago are the days where you could turn up on match day and get a ticket?!) and witnessed a bloody boring 0-0, but from that day I was hooked
Arsenal vs Coventry, Oct 19th 1996, boring 0-0 draw, my 2nd match was also a 0-0 the following season against Port Vale in FA Cup, if I remember correctly I think i went to 5 Arsenal draws before seeing a first win!
Also have to add my favourite game was probably the 6-1 at the Riverside can't remember what year, but THAT Kanu flick goal, what an absolute cracker day (1999 i think)
The first Arsenal I can really remember going to was a NLD at home in the early 90s (as mentioned in the Your First North London Derby thread) but there were loads of times in the 80s that, as a kid, me and my mates used to wait outside the North Bank. The guy on the door used to let the game go for about 10-15 minutes then let us all pile in. Couldn't see shit for the amount of people standing but the atmosphere (& freebie) was enough.
West Ham v Arsenal 1992 at Upton Park. My dad and grandad are hammers fans and took me along. I decided to support the team that was getting booed for having a jailbird captain and black players. They won 2-0 and i fell in love with Ian Wright.
Home to Sheff Wed Dec 1967. The game was ABANDONED at half time would you believe because of snow. In the next 41 years not one Arsenal game has ever been abandoned
