As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
it really is remarkable that just because we beat Bournemouth (unconvincingly) to record our first league win in 5 weeks and our first league goals in over 5 hours of football we have now been installed as favourites to win the Premier League

just seen that Klopp has said that he wants to see the ticket price issue resolved at Anfield.
compare that to the comments from Wenger at the end of last week who said that the new TV deal money will be used to fund transfers only (and basically implied that tickets were high - and will remain so!)
He is just so arrogantly out of touch it is embarrassing.
It's more that he sees fit to pass comment as though he is the voice of authority on every aspect of football finance. Klopp just gave a non-committal remark which is what you would expect. Wenger should have stopped being taken seriously as some kind of oracle on football finances long ago - the bloke built his entire approach around his insistence that footballs bubble would burst over half a decade ago - yet transfer fees, wages and commercial revenue all continue to rise sharply together with the number of nouveau riche clubs chucking money about.
Of all the criticisms of Wenger our high ticket prices are not one that can be levelled at him. His policy of answering every question (unless it relates to his accountability) just ends up making him look like a dickhead more often than not.

Don't forget what he said in 2013 in reference to the high ticket prices we pay in to the Emirates. "Go to the game and then judge was it worth the price you paid". Any others manager would have given a routine answer, but when you don't give a shit about the fans, then why not insult them. This guy talks down to everyone, yet is still seen as a god to the AKB'S. He is the footballing equivalent of Donald Trump.

And if it wasn't??? Not gonna get some of your money back are you. Especially the crap we are playing at the moment, ask yourselves when last we played well at the Emirates. City, it was I think, I cannot even remember when that was, months ago.The guy lives and speaks like he wants things to be, not how they actually are. He's exhausting
Was listening to 606 last night and they interviewed Hiddink after the game, fuck me what a breath of fresh air compared to the utter bollocks that Wanker spouts out after every game
Le bumhole talks out of his bumhole i try and turn over or mute the fucker whenever his weasel face appears on screen The man is a wannabe accountant who is accountable to no one

I don't see what's wrong with this remark tbh. We judge whether products were worth what we paid for them all the time, so he's basically just stating a fact of life. Basically any time we pay for a ticket to the football, it is a gamble as we don't know if the game will be good or not (or we will win etc). Afterwards you tend to judge whether it was worth it or not, so I think he's just giving a common sense answer.

Dont the bookies alter their odds according to how much money is going on each team, so what this means = many AKBs spunking away their pocketmoney on us winning the league- even more embarrassing

There are two things wrong with this answer:
1. This was Wenger's weak attempt at defending the board amid ridiculously high ticket prices that come at a time when there is an unsuccessful service being given for the best part of a decade. Also, when the accounts keep showing that we are awash with cash, its impossible to condone how the fans have not been given any saving or reduction on prices.
2. If you are a multi millionaire, it comes across as deeply disrespectful to make a comment like he did, as many fans struggle to afford ticket prices, so are rightly irritated when they see high prices. Any of the other 19 managers in the league would have given an answer along the lines of, I don't know about ticket prices, I just manage the team, but Wenger has to offer an opinion on everything.
