Didn't one of our lot do something similar a while back? Was it Henry or RvP?

That's taking the p*ss innit.

Funny.... but I can only imagine the goalie feeling a tad angry after that...a bit humiliating... :?

Suareaz/messi penalty

Post by markyp »

so im guessing that a few of you have seen it by now,it was the penalty that pires and henry tried and fucked up when pires's leg 'went numb', well suarez and messi nailed it last night but heres my question, when I played youth football during the eighties im sure the rule for a penalty was that a team member couldn't touch the ball until either the keeper had parried the penalty or it had struck the woodwork,i am right aren't I??? when did the rule change??? same as from the kick off the ball had to roll forward via one touch to a team mate who was allowed one touch also???these days its kick the ball forward or backwards with multiple touches,it was some years ago mind so i might be confused, whats the deal

The penalty taker can't touch the ball again until someone else has played it (keeper or anyone else on the pitch) nor if it comes back to him off the frame of the goal. Your version was never the rule IIRC.

Isn't Barca taking the piss every weekend?

I can see why players want to go there but after winning it so many times wouldn't you like a fresh challenge.

Take suarez for example, he might be on the way to a double treble. Not much else to do so will he be looking to get back to England to get another crack at the prem league with man city? after his comments at the weekend i wouldn't be surprised

It reeks of condescending arrogance. Every bit like that whole club. Utter self-important wankbags from a shit, pointless league.

Yeah, I remember people saying it was disrespectful  but I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often as it's a very very simple move that leaves your team mate with an easy finish. I'm still in shock that grandmaster Pires made such a pigs ear of it
