PSG 1 up vs chavs - Zlatan

Re: Champions League - Last 16
Bah, an away goal too. We need PSG to score another two or three, can't have them fluking their way back into the CL next year.

You can bet at no stage will we have a 1-1scoreline when we play barca

Re: Champions League - Last 16
I am looking forward to this*, the final round of our participation in the Be All and End All
*I am not looking forward to our inevitable butt-fucking by Barca.

Chavs 2-1 down - think PSG will score in 2nd leg and will go through
Expecting the inevitable from us next week - not bothered as we're miles away from winning this competition

The closest to 1-1 we will get against that lot will be one home game, one away gamemcdowell42 wrote:You can bet at no stage will we have a 1-1scoreline when we play barca

I'm being totally negative I know, but I'm not even considering us getting past Barca, absolutely no way. I'd be very pleasantly surprised if we do. Means we can concentrate on the domestic double!

It's funny but I'm not expect a thrashing from barca

Think I would rather get thrashed by their strongest team, than to lose by 3 or 4 goals with them having rested their best players

We will turn up in one of the games against Barca, the other game we will get a drubbing like Bayern away. I don't think it's negative to think this way, just realistic. barca are a great team a few levels above us.

If we get bitch-fucked 4 or 5 nil in first leg, we'll draw or maybe even nick a 2-1 win in second and there will be talk of "mental strength, the group, lettle bit jaded, heroic effort blah blah".

If we get a draw or nick a 2-1 win in the first leg then in the second leg they will absolutely smash our arseholes in.

We will lose both matches heavily unless Barca decide to be kind to us.

When Vic Akers was preparing the kits, boots etc - he was heard to ask the clueless wonder if he thought they had enough Lube for bumholing that is going to happen to the team.

Re: Champions League - Last 16
Barca should thrash us both legs but they don't always turn their superiority into goals.
The twice we have played them they have been immeasurably better than us yet we were leading about 60% of the way through the first tie and then about 80% of the way through the second, not to mention that we should still have gone through with Bendtners chance.
Even last year they played city off the park at the etihad, and whilst 2-1 is a great away result generally it didn't completely put the tie to bed as their dominance merited.

As I recall we set a new champs league record that night........first team not to have even one shot on target in the whole game
