Chinese Super League

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I remember we visited there post-season in 1995 and David Seaman broke his ankle on Beijing Guoan's cowfield of a pitch

He basically wants China to win the world cup whilst he is in power, interestingly enough though to prevent the league being swamped by foreigners and Chinese football development being held back the teams are limited to 4 non-Chinese born players.

They were saying potentially with that $850B they could offer the best players in the world at least double their wages with no problem as the Chinese home grown players wont/aren't be paid particularly well.

I wonder if we could get them to offer a certain Manager treble his wages and some comfort girls?
I know china is a communist country and as such the people have to do what they are told without question, but there is no way that this system can work - we know that the "imports" will be paid better than the locals, but the players and supporters will not support a system that see's their own people being shit upon that way
Not very socialist of them, is it comrade

We need TOF to fuck off to China and share his glorious and revolutionary 'Socialist Wage Structure' with them. Then all the pubbers in that league can earn 60K a week :barscarf:

But with this one when you've been to watch a game you want to go to another an hour later (or am I thinking of Sky Super Sundays?).

I hope they do sign all the top European players, it'll improve our chances of winning the champions league as they won't be tempting any of the fuckers in our squad. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Just the start of our Chinese overlords ruling the world gents.

I wonder if they'll be serving dog meat sandwiches at the games? :rubchin:

I don't have a problem with that to be honest. Film stars, rock stars and sportmen earn far more than doctors, nurses, etc. and it's obvious why - they entertain millions of people around the globe. Agree with their salaries or not, these people are in demand and China wants a part of it.

By the way, why do footballers always get moaned about because of wages and "not being role models"?? - film and rock stars earn shit loads, take drugs and have sex with anything that moves, yet don't get the same level of criticism?? - I reckon it's simply because most women don't like football so use it as an excuse to moan about them. :D

With the crazy wages that Fatboy is on and his mediocre form I think Manure might be tempted to sell him, but with young kids and a wife who loves the shops and celebrity lifestyle I'd be amazed if Rooney was interested.

Players like Cahill and LordBendtner, whose careers are all but over, understandably jump at the chance.

In 20 years time you'll hear kids on the streets of Souwf London telling you how their dad came from Guangzhou and taking selfies kissing the badge

Mind you - its not quite as sad as someone saying they're a Carolina Panthers fan sitting on their arse in Dublin watching that shite !
