As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I don't have a problem with that to be honest. Film stars, rock stars and sportmen earn far more than doctors, nurses, etc. and it's obvious why - they entertain millions of people around the globe. Agree with their salaries or not, these people are in demand and China wants a part of it.
By the way, why do footballers always get moaned about because of wages and "not being role models"?? - film and rock stars earn shit loads, take drugs and have sex with anything that moves, yet don't get the same level of criticism?? - I reckon it's simply because most women don't like football so use it as an excuse to moan about them.
Well I have a genral Problem with the Money that is flooting around the Football circus
besides the fact that a 20 year old one which can run and kick a ball is earning more then 99,99% of the 'normal' People. When it comes to Football we see transfer fees and wages which are going to the Roof. This has an direct Impact on things like ticket Prices. I don't go to the Football ground any longer (BVB) because I don't want to pay ridicules ticket Prices for a game were 22 People are running around to chase a ball.
The PL with all the foreign Money around has perverted the idea of the Sport, which was Born in England. Now we have China, a country which is used by the 'modern world' to produce things for very low costs and cut Jobs in our countries. Now China with all the Money is doing what they can do best, paste and copy and take the System which is called capitalizim by the roots (maybe that is the only good News). With all the real Problems in the real world it seems insane what is going around in the dream world called professional Football.
Football has become a game of perverted People on the pitch, would I cash in if I could? No!

It's interesting that you say Dortmund ask for ridiculous ticket prices as the general consensus here is that German ticket pricing is reasonable and actually quite cheap
As for England, I've stopped going to Arsenal games because of the price and turned down a £1600 season ticket last year. I can afford it but I simply think it's ridiculously overpriced so I choose to stay away and watch games on tv or on the internet instead.
Can I ask, how much are these "ridiculous ticket prices" that you refuse to pay at BVB?

Well,
first of all I have to say that I'm not an native english speaking and writing Person, but I'am trying my very best
BVB ticket Prices are compared to the PL low. I went to the games 2002 and BVB won the national Cup. My season ticket was 280 Euors. In 2011 I'gone at the same seat to the same ground with the same footballl and my season ticket was 540 Euros.
What I want to say is that we (all over the world) are getting the same Thing and we are getting ripped (yes I now that things are new Stadium, etc.). Basically we still getting 22 poeple trying to rouning around a ball.
We supporters are part of the Problem, and the biggest Problem are the TV supporters who are paying the big Money to problay Chinse holder TV Companies

100mill no problem.
Strange comparison and Argument
Maybe the Transfer fees and salary's must go even more up and maybe we need to have a Football Club moved to somewhere else by the owners as NFL Francaise are moved from the west to the east cost. What about Arsenal being moved to Beijing to satisfy the Asian market ?!
Those sold to China havent always managed to collect the money they were promised and come home older and poorer.
The Chinese are still bandits and will only pay when it suits them ,contracts are worth nothing and trying to enforce contracts near impossible .
Money upfront and with bank gaurantees or in escrow on a western bank is the only way.

You ever thought about a career as a football agent? Sure you've learned plenty from your mates with bridges named after them
Indeed. Whatever happened to that bloke who faced down the tanks? We shall never know.
That said, Deng Xiaoping took China out of the dark days of Mao and set it on the road to what it is today; A single-party capitalist state and the sweatshop of the world
