Hull (H) | FA Cup | Sat. 20th Feb. | 12:45pm

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You can't feasibly persuade him to take less risks without blunting his attacking threat - the exception being the first half of the Leicester game when they coaxed us into committing men past the ball with their whole game plan revolving around winning the ball and counter attacking, where he should have been more careful.

The problem isn't the way he plays - it's just that he's not playing well enough. In a team that delights in monotonous sideways tempo-less play, I'm all for somebody who plays direct and loves running at players. Not to mention that he is immense and one of the top players in the country. No doubt he is burned out, although to what extent this justifies how badly he's playing I don't know. We don't need to change him, we just need to get him playing well again. Maybe benching him might help as it will freshen him up and he will come on against tiring defenders - and you just get that sense that he needs one good game to regain his form, that's the type of player he is. That said I would like to think I still retain a shred of sanity and the idea of him on the bench at Old Trafford or WHL with the way Walcott and Ox are playing is crazy.
Exactly. You''ll never see Elneny lose possession. I thought that was a latter day Ray Wilkins out there yesterday with all the sideways passes. Best do lots of that and improve the stats eh, rather than actually make something happen.

That said, Alexis has been shite of late.....but is still the man who at least fucking tries to make something happen we're going slow, slow, tap, tap, slow
Don't loose possession cause he is taking the easy way out all the time...Statistics are rubbish
As for Sanchez he is trying to make things happen.....even though mainly it is not coming off and he is loosing possession
