Barca Home Tuesday 19.45

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

There isn't £200 million to spend. Its Stan's money for the LA Rams.

we must be the only team that always concedes when we make a substitute to 'shore' things up,was so fucking obvious once flamini came on that we'd concede,FFS happens every time.Well done Arsene

What has to happen at our club for the clueless myopic despot to leave or be sacked. :banghead:

Sadly, it is very much a Wenger trait. Suicidal attacking.
I coulda sworn that after seeing the EXACT SAME goal conceded last year to oil money Monaco, Wenker and his loudmouths were in the media the following day saying "we will learn from this".

Apart from that do you want to see a trend here?

2006 CL final. Face Ronaldinho et al with Almunia in goal. He costs us the pot.
2008: Go to the Nou Camp against Messi et al and start with Diaby and Song. Thrashed.
2010: Go to the Nou Camp and have Bendtner as your attacking option off the bench. Costs us qualification.
2014: Face reigning European champs Bayern at home and start with a postman up front

2016: Face best team in Europe and start with a fat lump of a lamp-post who can't run and hasn't scored in over 500 minutes. (Now almost 600). Bring on a finished never-has-been who instantly eliminates you from the tie.

Meanwhile your January star signing, the camel farmer from Swiss football, must be quite a player if he can't even get a shot ahead of Flamini.

Congrats Wenker. I would be angry with you right now, but I'm too busy "just enjoying the occasion".

Absolute DISGRACE.

TEN years after the Emirated move to "compete with the best" and the sixth consecutive last 16 elimination, after the SAME predictable group stage failure to win the group and the SAME utter failure to address squad weaknesses in the transfer window.

And still the sheep will celebrate finishing Top 4 come May. What has it actually fucking done for us?

If there was a sub that he didn't need to make, it was that one. I'd rather see Elneny than Flamini. I think that I would rather see Ospina than Flamini.

Would you really truly let Wenger spend that money though? To buy someone and play them out of position, play them to death and long-term injury? Buying and playing players like Flamini and Mertersacker shows just how much contempt he treats us with, the vanity project was done 6 years ago,but hes still here

We've been conceding that exact same goal in the CL since United did it to us back in the day. Same old shit, same old wanker in charge

Sold a ton of shirts in Sharm El Sheik though!
It's obvious to Stevie fucking Wonder it was an Arsenal brand signing, much like Park Chu Young. Had a few on here have a pop for being too harsh in my assessment of the Egyptian wonder so soon. He's that good even Wenger selects Flamini over him.

Ah well, I expected nothing and got 70 mins of us heroically not scoring. Then they got two. Dunno why the commentator seems to think there is hope at 2 nil down, but not 3. We have to score 3 without them scoring at all! Won't happen.

And the thing is that if there was their strength, everybody bar the idiots on the pitch knew about it.

How long before we hear how we will "learn" from this year?

Shame really as for 70 minutes we put in a great shift, were pretty well-organised and rode our luck much less than in the past. And then chucked it away with naive and suicidal defending.
