Another loss for Arsenal

Post by TeeCee »

So the financial results are in and we have lost £3.4m in the first half of the year.

How can a club who make £3m from every home match and who have a huge staff of marketing/commercial people, make a loss in a 6 month period where we have been on or around the top of the league? Evidently the deficit is because we haven't sold much in the transfer market. So there you have it, Arsenal have to sell players to make a profit, we saw this all start a few years ago when we started selling some big names and Wonga even admitted that he had to make 20m from player sales each season. It's a seriously shit run club, Arsenal FC. Management stinks from top to bottom, doesn't look great for the future to be honest does it?

we should sell more big players, and charge higher ticket prices

or i dunno, cut our losses with wenger and employ a manager with a smaller ego for a quarter of the price. oh i don't know what the best option is, I've never ran a club myself tbh :rubchin:

Wenger pays Sanogo £30,000 per week.
Per week.

Wenger, who attends board meetings gets £154,000 per week.

There you go.

It's well known on here we overpay almost every player at the club.

And the biggest waste of money is TOF himself, on a scandalous £163,461.54 per week :censored:

I heard there were also shitloads of costs for running Cashburton itself. So much for 'competing with Europe's elite' :suicide:

Funnily enough i have the feeling that if we were winning PLs or CLs our revenue might be considerably higher but then that would mean spending money and taking a chance on a loss financially and there's the rub, they're upset over a 3M loss can you imagine if it were a 50-100M outlay for no return, there'd be claret all over the Boardroom :rubchin:

Lost £3M? Well, get rid of Wanker ans employ someone on £4M a year. Hey presto, loss balanced.

Seems very obvious that the club is run very badly, how the féck can they be losing money when as well as gate receipts, sponsorship & merchandise the stadium is in commercial use almost every day of the year with conferences, company meetings, banquet & hospitality functions, just download the club guide & check out the various halls & rooms to hire! :barscarf:

The whole non football related commercial department should be tin tacked for their incompetence! :banghead: :banghead:

The non playing side of the clubs workforce, especially middle management & above is as crap as the playing squad & manager! :censored:

Also rans on & off the pitch, incompetent from top to bottom, but the fans will make up for the shortfall with ticket price rises & all is rosy! :barscarf: Bonuses all round for Stan, Ivan & Arsene! Happy Days!

No its that horrible managers fault for buying Cech for £10m and not selling any players to cover that outlay.

It's the finance that is killing the game. Any money made from the new Sky deal will go on players wages. Ox has stated he wants at least a 100,000 a week to stay. That's from a player who has done nothing all season. While City and Chelsea can pay whatever we will always struggle but the fact is most players are nowhere near worth the amount of money they are paid.

There are very few players, even now, that I'd be gutted were they to be sold tomorrow.

Stan will know what to do..".If we make a loss due to a drop in lack of sales then we sell. Ozil and Sanchez would be worth a few quid, Arsene can get cheaper replacements or find internal solutions ".. Don't know why we are worried Stan , Ivan and Arsene will turn this around. Back in profit in August.

This makes a lot of sense, especially as I have the feeling both will want out in the summer anyway, so its the prefect excuse for Wenger and co. to say they had no choice, and had to sell.
