Oxlade-Chamberlain

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He was woefully out of form and while not the only one, I hope that his absence will be a blessing. On the flip side, having so many mid to long term injuries every year holds us back and provides the good Lord Wenger to recycle some of his very best lines.

The boy is at the wrong club if he wants to learn anything, especially with The Old Fraud as his manager :banghead:

No idea why he hasn't gone on loan previously to gain some solid experience, instead of on the periphery here doing fuck all and not improving.

Sell him, lacks any football intelligence and that unfortunately can't be coached no matter who is in charge.

I wouldn't sell unless a daft bid comes in. I'd rather loan him out as I think he's very talented. Either way, we need to bring in a better quality player on the right to better balance our threat from the flanks.

Any competent manager would have loaned him out 2-3 seasons ago to iron out the weaknesses in his game. Not even sure that would have helped all that much, he's just a slightly more talented Walcott.

If a bid for about £15m comes in they should bite their hand off.

Any competent manager would have actually coached the player, taught him about the game and improved him. Instead we have TOF telling them all nothing :(

If its true that he want 100k a week for a new deal then he can go with my blessing

Right now, he is a squad player, offering nothing special, not changing matches (apart from fucking up so the opposition score)

In recent fixture Iwobi has looked more composed and more of a threat to opponents in his brief appearances than Ox has, which tells you a lot.

Unfortunately, I totally agree with this. I had hoped Ox would be a star for us, but it just isn't working out. To demand 100k a week for what he's dishing out on the pitch at the moment is unbelievable if it's true.
