1st/2nd March 2 big nights of football...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Seems like unless you post along the lines of -

Wenger is Sh*t - the team are C**nts - We won't win anything - I hate watching Arsenal - I'm not renewing my ST - the Board are W**kers...

Then there can be no other conversation surrounding a match or indeed the title hopes of our Club.

I understand the frustrations but there is more to contribute than the above again, and again, and again...

Other clubs must laugh at the civil war being waged within our fan-base.

Anyways...it is all salt on my chips...

I'm looking forward to tonight/tomorrow - and hopefully with a positive result...Sat too!

COYG :barscarf:
do you honestly think that we are in a title race?

^ Yes I do...

If the results go our way tonight/tomoz...then all to play for on Sat!

Like I said earlier... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOuZddmhzko

I remember chatting to other fans at The Cock after the WHU opener - there were some adamant we wouldn't even be top four!!!

So, as long as we are in it - then yes I believe we can...

What happens at the end of the season - I'll have the whole summer to sit and contemplate :D

Its only all to play for if the players actually want to play for it. That is not what I saw Sunday and that's why theres hardly any positivity on here.

All I ever ask is to see the players giving 100% effort..... if they're not good enough that boils down to the person who buys them/develops them and then picks them. A fair few of them are not giving us that 100% at the moment and that is why we're not really in any sort of race.

^ agreed - even when there is a dip in form...at least you must give 100%...Sanchez is a great example of that.

Whether we like it or not - Wenger is the Manager (for now) and I think that discussion has been more than exhausted.

For tonight/tomoz, then we must win and hope that the other results go our way - which tees up a nice encounter at WHL on Sat.

I'll be dismayed if Walcott starts - as I think he will be better suited coming on as a sub @70mins.

Wellbeck to start with Giroud and Campbell.

I don't know if Coquelin is fit? but defo as a DM if he is and Ramsey - over Flamini.

Then it is up to them to do the do! They have the ability - so only they individually can play with heart.

Exciting times!

Spammers away sounds like a potential banana skin but being the masochist I am I watched all of West Ham against Sunderland last weekend and only reason they came out on top is because the mackems are utter, utter toilet. They were torn to shreds at times and the early season swagger they had seems to have disappeared. Lets pray to fcuk they rediscover it tomorrow night because if they play like they did on Saturday they'll get stuffed.

^ I missed the game - but dipped in and out of radio coverage... Heard that Payet did not have a good game.

Tomoz depends on Payet, Kouyate, Noble and Sakho turning up - if they do, then WHU have a chance scoring...and Reid/Cresswell being solid at the back.

They too need a result - as the thought of Europe in the inaugural season at the olympic ground is mouthwatering for the 2 David's and their ticket sales.

Tott were 1-0 down for 70mins at home against Swans...so they are beatable!

It's strange how our season rests on more on what other teams do than we do ourselves.... think i've been here before :?

you know what even if we did pull off a miracle and win this title how can anybody take satisfaction from it when the league is way below par this season with the Chavs non contenders,Utd and liverpool in transition and city indiferant.it really is a totally 'fake' league this season and to win it this year means fuck all almost a bit like qualifying for the CL in 4th spot in a normal season.had we gone like a stream train all season taking lumps out of everyone then yes you could get some satisfaction but this year really is about who is the best of the rest and sadly even this season it aint us

We had a discussion last year centred around whether higher league position equates to more success and therefore to an improvement in the team, well i think we can catagorically say that there is no correlation this season.

We're potentially in a position to win the league with less points than last years winners and in my opinion a worse performing squad than last season... :banghead:

They laugh that we have a clueless :censored: as manager who gets paid £8m a year for finishing 4th.They laugh that we bottle it every season when the title is on a plate and they piss themselves laughing when we get knocked out in the last 16 of the CL again
