Some players deserve to be publicly shamed. There are many experienced players in that team who turn up in games like Sundays, Southampton away etc. and treat it like the Emirates cup. Wenger's insistence on treating players like kids who can do nothing wrong has led to the loser mentality that so many of our squad possesses.

Spooky you're one of these people who think everyone should get a medal for taking part, aren't you
Thank you - that made me chuckle!

More a believer that you can get people "mad" and motivate them - but too much shame and anger causes "distress" rather than "stress".

Stress being a positive energy...

We must win tomoz and I don't want to see the team go out despondent but rather up for it - we know what we need to do!

So.... they might know what they need to do but if they're not really up for it then they simply won't do it. This is what we have been reduced to.....wondering if we can sneak a win against relegation threatened Swansea. AT HOME!! And if we do we'll be subjected to a "mental strength" lecture. So depressing......

Nice block 2 freebie confirmed for tomorrow ! And I note from a couple of mates who went on ticket exchange that there were tons of tickets available.

I'm sure the supposed 'nastiness' at OT will soon be forgotten by the worshippers around me if we scuff our way to a 1-0 win and declare ourselves back in the title race !

I get where you are coming from - but we are still in it and I will support the team to go out tomorrow and give 100%.

If they don't, then it will be very exasperating, but at this stage, we can only take the match tomorrow - and win...even if it is not in style.

Then we have a chance of the back of a win to go to WHL.

like I said in an earlier post - Spurs were held at 1-0 by Swans at home for 70mins - so if we win convincingly...then why not go to WHL with some confidence?

Yes, we should have walked it this season...but then Chelsea shouldn't be where they are, United shouldn't be where they are, Leicester shouldn't be where they are, Spurs shouldn't be where they are, Man City shouldn't be where they are...

So, we can only go out tomorrow and get a result - that's where I am :)

and our impressive league record at the Lane backs up that confidence does it ??

Will be a draw on Saturday I reckon, with us probably hanging on for it. If we win I'd be utterly shocked.

Spooky in a way i admire your belief but for many of us we've heard it too many times before, 'get behind the team and the manager', 'judge him in May', 'don't worry we wont collapse in Jan/Feb/Mar this season'.

It's all empty words for many off us, how many false dawns should we allow, how many get out of jail cards should we give them.

I support Arsenal, not the players who come and go, not the manager, but the club and at the moment some of the players and the Manager are not fit to shine the boots of some of our legends.

Wenger has now had 12 years, 6-8 of them i'll even allow as austerity years but it does not absolve him or the players of blame for the lack of passion and belief currently being shown.

These people get paid a lot of money to entertain us and bring us fans the belief in trophies, a true challenge if you will and for me i just have no belief in them currently.

^ Wenger is too divisive to go into at this time....and I just find the whole conversation about anything to do with Arsenal always descending on WOB tiresome.

My only eye is on tomorrow...and that we at least give an account of ourselves after the 2 losses.

So I will support the team that goes out - and will them to get a victory... then at least we have something to take to WHL on Sat.

I get the frustration and we all pays our money - and have our say - I choose to be optimistic until there is no more reason to be...and the fat auntie with balls who is my uncle...hasn't sung yet! :)

Wasn't going to bother mate....but genuinely interested to see this so called toxic atmosphere that is supposedly developing ! Whenever I go, I never see any of it. A ripple of mild boos from the few left in the ground at worst

More of the same; a limp-dick defeat or draw, or a tortuous narrow win :banghead:

I can always remember a defeat we suffered at craven cottage a few seasons back - the game was on sky that sat evening and I remember watching it and wondering how can any professional player play with such a lack of interest and pride ? The stupid c.unt actually said in the post match interviews that the players were not up for it that evening.........whose job is it to ensure that they are up for it you senile old b*stard ??
It make you wonder 'What the fuck DOES he do?' £23K per day for WHAT, exactly? 'Go out and play'?

He's the only manager who actually does absolutely fuck all of use :banghead:

Might be quite a few empty seats tomorrow, even my mate who thinks the sun shines out of AW's butt can't be bothered going tomorrow, times may well be a-changing until results improve

It's not necessarily results though is it? Turning up with a pair would be a start - and I don't mean boots!!!!

Ultimately it is all about results Cas, i don't care if we win pretty, win badly, or win with our heads up our arses as long as we win

I think the majority of match going fans would be very quickly appeased by a run of a couple of wins, especially against the Spuds followed by Hull in the cup.

That's the reality, just win and all's forgiven (for most people) :)

4 wins in 19 is pretty appalling given the chasm between the two sides over the last two decades and that we were unbeaten against them for half of that time.

As well whilst Pochettino being lauded as the second coming of the messiah is nonsense, he is the sort of manager Wenger struggles against and the reality is that they've been the better side in all 3 league games since he went there. He will just play a pretty negative, disciplined game pressing us in the right areas knowing that if they get it right defensively then enough chances will fall their way to win it.

Would be very surprised if we showed some backbone after last weekend to upset the odds Saturday.
