Wenger on Flamini

Well done Arsene, agree with you totally. No fight, just wants an easy ride in Italy i say. In fact he's gone to a league with less fans then the championship.
FUCK OFF FLAMINI!!!
ENJOY YOUR ITALIAN BENCH.

Flamini
Lets face it this guy wont better-this season was him at the absolute peak of his powers. AC Milan are sure to use him as a squad player. The bit that fucks us all off is we didnt get a fee for him. But then he did the same to Marseille.
Ridiculous. He's 24 for crying out loud. He will be 28 by the time his contract is up; by which time he may well have become a huge success at Milan, or been bought by another huge club. Who can say? I know the grass isn't always greener, and that we're all trying to make the best of a bad situation, but I wouldn't write this lad off just yet. He could turn out to be the real deal, and some could be left with egg on their faces.>Lethal~Prodigy< wrote:exactly, this season was the best flamini will ever play in his career i think,he was at the top of his game and i cant see him improving much more
Remember; he's only 24!!!

Sorry Quartz, but I strongly disagree. Before this season, he was nothing but a utility player for us. Then, there was a 'gigantic improvement' and he got his transfer to AC Milan. For a young lad of 24 who is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, it strikes me as silly to write him off immediately. Had he stayed, everyone would have been raving about how he could possibly become one of the greats (yes they would, I've seen a few preemptive comments myself), and now he's cleared off, all of a sudden he's fulfilled his potential and has achieved all he can.QuartzGooner wrote:i cannot see a gigantic improvement in the future, I think Flamini is a what you see is what you get player
It is not like a Hleb or a Rosicky where you always feel there is great potential...Flamini is living up to that potential now
What is with the arrogance and ignorance of some Arsenal fans (I know it's not just Gooners, but on this topic, it relates only to them)?
ah youll notice im making many bad comments about flamini to get over the pain of losing my favorite player by a absolute country mile
i really see flamini's career going the same way as people like edu and jeffers(although not to the extent of his, playing in league 1 or wherever),but i think hell start at first then after a few months end up sitting on the bench every week and then leaving to a average team like newcastle for example, how many times have we seen it happen before ? every player seems to think the grass is greener away but they nearly all seem to fail with maybe pires being the only exception

Anelka winning a Champions League and Spanish title?
Cashley maybe winning the Champions League?

The grass isn't always greener, but it is sometimes...

Agreed, but PV4 has never rediscovered his form with us - and the italians love a backhander to win things. (allegedly)

Based on what? Because his league titles in Italy and his captaining France since 2006 suggest otherwise.Charlie! Looking at the bigger picture...surely Arsenal need good players playing to their potential NOW?QuartzGooner wrote:i cannot see a gigantic improvement in the future, I think Flamini is a what you see is what you get player

We don't seem to have the money - or the desire to spend it if we do - to sign current, top class, in-form players and therefore letting first team players go (especially for free) is ridiculous.
Where do we go from here - especially if Hleb leaves? What on earth will Fabregas do (what would you do if you were in his shoes)? Think of our first team - that in itself would be nowhere near good enough to finish top. But more to the point is to think of who's available in our reserves to replace them should they get injured/lose form. Our best midfield is now Rosicky...if he can get fit, Fabregas and er...Hleb if he stays, and er...Eboue/Walcott? And if they're not available? Oh dear.
Could be a long season in 2009.
