THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Well at least it could mean we all might stop worrying whether or not we'll lose our manager at the end of season :barscarf:

Maybe that will put an end to the fantasies of this or that loss might be tipping point of how much headwind the wenger train can push thru

The Man walks when he'll walk, I reckon at lease three more seasons :high5: (I couldnt find that smiley shooting its brains out)
We can offer these ones...

when we win at spurs, as we must, we simply have to, then all will be forgiven the sheep will be back on side. thus the potential for the fans getting on his back will go again so he wont walk.

hes signed a new contract already when we win the fa cup again it will be announced.

the only way hes leaving is when god chooses.

I pretty much want Wenger out at any cost. Luckily to win the FA Cup this year you'll probably have to defeat Chelsea and we are simply incapable of doing that when it matters.

Let's not forget we desperately tried to bottle the FA Cup 2014 final, but managed to pull ourselves out of that, never would have happened against a stronger side.

The only question i want Arsene asked is "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO QUIT!?". If he loved Arsenal that much, he would see that another manager could do a better job, so step aside and let them do it!!!

QUIT QUIT QUIT QUIT QUIT

JUST DO IT!!!

If Ozil and or Sanchez stay under him next season I will be astounded- I cant see all these things working in his favour and leaving him anything but much more jaded. He must know the games up, surely even he isnt THAT mad .
Ozil and Sanchez are phoning it in now. Neither could give two fucks it's so obvious.
The irony is that for years the AKB user fear tactics of "if Arsene leaves so do our top players".
Well well....if Arsene stays we can guarantee the top players we do have are offski. Add to that there isn't a single big-name player that voluntarily would want to play under Wenker. Isco wants to suffer as Ozil did supplying that donkey Giroud? Or does Higuain want to be farmed out on the wing?

This is my biggest fear, the recent wins have kept him afloat and another win just pays for another contract
Chelski will win it under Hiddink, or West Ham will IMO.
The minute Wenker faces Hiddink (another manager he's never beaten in competitive football, he's actually lost every game he's played against him) then it's done. Really wouldn't worry about this...

Has this idea been banded about previously?

https://petition.parliament.uk/

I wonder if the government monitor this and delete petitions they deem to be off-topic?

I find it astonishing after all we've been through in the last 2 weeks that people on here still believe that we will just cruise past Hull. I see no reason for such optimism, in fact it almost smacks of "we are Arsenal" type arrogance.

Surely they owe one after the rough time they've had at our expense :D Not hard to see picture The Great Leader moaning about tiredness and reffing decisions and Hull being so far north and his precious little drones having to play mid-week so far north distracting them from the 5/6/7th place trophy

I know Pies Morgan isn't popular but I'm inclined to believe this. A man in his position with the contacts he has is more likely to get information like that. It stings a little knowing he's gone to a shithole like Manchester and we will be stuck with Wenger.

Although City fans are adamant an agreement was made with them in 2012.

As dreadful as it sounds, a lose ot Spurs could see the media go into top gear and really turn the tide. Are we ready to take this one for the team? I think I am!
I don't think losing on Saturday will make an ounce of difference as to when Wenger leaves. There will be more fans revolting, but Wenger has shown time and again, he has no respect for the fans so he won't a give a shit what we think. Also, silent Stan won't be swayed by a lost NLD, only by whether we win the VT. The likelihood is that for all the hysteria from the fans about last nights result, most will be back worshiping Wenger the next game we win.

Exactly, he's got no respect for fans whatsoever! Missed the whole point hasnt he? Running-a-football-club-like-a-business-son-of-a-moulin-fucking-rouge-whore (with no disrespect to the whores of the moulin rouge btw :( )

Are we cheering for the Stan Kroeneke sports enterprises? Well maybe if Whitney Kroeneke would flash her jugs around the ground at half time

No idea if Piers is telling the truth, but his timing is perfect - what better way to push the buttons of the recently-converted AKBs than to come out with this gem the night after disaster struck?

It's quite ingenious, really. And the perfect revenge, as Wenger and the club constantly pull this tactic on the fans throughout the season.

Wenger leaving will genuinely be one of the happiest moments of my life. I propose a piss-up of epic proportions in The Twelve Pins the day it finally goes down. Hopefully not long to wait now.
