As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Shocked? You should be because i have seen in some other forum that Wenger says Ozil is deadly infront of goal. Clearly his strikers Giroud, Walcott, Welbeck etc, etc are not at the minute.
So here is an absurd solution. Play the deadliest guy as striker. Get Sanchez to try and match his absurd assists by playing him in the area where Ozil will exit.
Arsene has a knack to get his players better than themselves by shifting them from their earlier playing positions. Hendry, Robin Van Parsie, Kolo Toure, Bellerin, Carzola...so maybe it's time to do his magic with Ozil. And we will not have a problem finding a replacement for Ozil in the Attacking Mid be it in the squad or in the market...

In the same way Walcott was the best natural finisher at the club a couple of seasons ago....

Ozil is one of only a couple of Arsenal players maintaining any sort of form at the moment, but a regularly good finisher he is not.
I'd play Campbell as a striker ahead of him if it came down to it, guy is in form, showing a lot of fight and he knows that (inexplicably) he is ahead of Walcott and Chamberlain at the moment. Or should be.
I think Cech should be a striker makes sense when you think about it,he can use his hands so could pick the ball up and throw it in the goal or rugby style 'try' it over the goal line, what ya reckon?cant believe nobody has thought of this already

Interesting idea. Except that Ozil is a known pussy in front of goal. He's no Bergkamp. He fits perfectly into our shot-shy ways
I'd like to see Sanchez given another go up top (and Welbeck). He can't be worse than Giroud or Walcott.
And mentioning that TOF tries to change players positions is no good thing. A legion of our players constantly played out of position by TOF over the years would like to have a little word with you
Ozil is a terrible finisher. I can predict with confidence, when faced with a chance, when Ozil will shoot (usually tamely) or pass to somebody else. I've seen many midfielders who are good finishers in the box but Ozil isn't one of them.
If he is a great finisher in training it's irrelevant, Fabianski was brilliant in training too.
must be a winded up thread. OZIL has a main striker ha-ha
The bloke is afraid of his own shadow, So you want him to go up front against two central defenders who will kick him for the first few minutes and he will disappear for 85 minutes
