As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Herd wrote:The Police at Tottenham were even worse than usual , and it looked deliberate !
A very small amount of Swamp dwellers caused a lot of trouble for them and they panicked big time .
There was no more than 100 spuds playing up with many others joining in from the back with pushing and I phone filming but they couldn't handle it despite having 100's at that corner plus horses .
By putting up the barriers they made it worse for anyone approaching them and they just let the bullies try and pick off people going in.
When the incident occurred which has been filmed Arsenal and spurs fans got mixed and moved together with many a spud getting lamped but when the road was crossed the police seemed to vanish and you see a few get harassed by the barriers but what u don't see is behind that about 20 Arsenal just standing and scattering a whole group of muppets !
Fair play mate, you need these guys there with you otherwise if its just Ty, Bully and Claude you are going to hospital
forget about the old bill ....very different to Islington Old Bill who are all over everything

Yep, took his headphones off and used them ninja style!!
Agree Herd, the barriers and Police vans were a feckin nightmare before the game.
Afterwards, leaving was the quietest I've know for ages

Heard he decked one of them with his Arsenal-brand nunchucks.
I went with 2 mates we wernt in the escort which only seemed to have about 30 in it but we saw a lot of arsenal in 2's n 3's .
Burberry boy was hit over the head by the horse riders who made a simple thing very complicated ,no one from the Police seemed to know what they were doing `which didnt help .
As this developed a few of us stood on the corner and within a short while we found there was about 20 of us and old school .
As we all greeted each other it was apparant that we wernt spurs but they didnt do a thing ,once the road was crossed everyone got mingled and we were in a crush as they surged forward we let em know who we were and a big gap opened up in front and behind !not big deal but some cohesive policing would have sorted things out instead the barriers made it worse for some as the OB allowed spuds to croawd round it .
As someone said Im not a great fan of Arsenal OB BUT they are very organised and know where to be most of the time !

It takes him ten yards to get up to speed and by that time he has been left behind by most oppo defenders. Yes, compared to Giroud, he is quicker, but then so is my dead grandmother. In the big scheme of things Welbeck has no real pace, certainly not enough to play that lone striker role in a 4-5-1 especially when added to his often terrible first touch.
Not having a pop at Welbeck here. In fairness to him he has really put in a shift since he came back and should be starting ahead of the woefully out of form Giroud, but let's not get carried away, lads!
DB10 normally I agree with most of what you say but to be honest I think I'm more than big enough and ugly enough to form my own opinion of him without getting carried away
Giroud and Walcott are so poor I'd take the chance if it doesn't work after two or three games then fine but right now I'll reserve my own judgement rather than be told whether i'm right or wrong by others.
GoonerMuzz & Nut flush - erm, did either of you actually read what I wrote?
I agree totally that at the moment and on current form, Welbeck should start ahead of Giroud. I said that in my post. My point is that whilst he is certainly quicker than Giroud he still labours to gain any real advantage from this supposed pace he has. People are making sweeping statements that "Welbeck has loads of pace". He doesn't. When compared to Giroud he certainly is faster, but so are most players.
Nut Flush, I don't agree at all with your statement; "Going back to his speed, he is quick enough to allow Ozil to thread balls behind defenders that he can run onto and beat the defender for pace in a lot of instances." He has enough pace to get in there (but only if he starts his run early enough - his standing start is sluggish) but he has a terrible first touch when running onto a moving ball. Honestly, do either of you think Manure would have sold him to us if he had enough pace and skill to be a real threat? Really?
Either way, IMHO, none of Welbeck, Walcott or Giroud are good enough to be a first choice main striker in a PL team with title aspirations.

The scum "super firm" ( ) will never toe up to a group of Gooners that stand their ground. They are a myth, a legend in their own lunchtime. If they aren't picking off line Gooners or women amd kids they are pointing mobile phones at people and fuck all else. Cowards, bitches, cúnts and ladymen every single one of them.
In fairness DB they have got some very tasty boys ,but they don't play up outside they hang out in a bar North of the ground
and don't move around a lot .
The mongs that do are very much the wannabees and they are quite dumb ,you've all seen the cameras,a few will get
lifted for it.
They are Hyenas looking to pick off stragglers ,pure vermin !

DB10 in poker we have a saying when someone says or does something thats annoying, its called tilting. You are tilting me big time. Remember the first goal at the Lane last season??!!!!
No pace obviously . Doesn't look like a slouch from a standing start either, to set ozil up for our goal vs spuds skinning rose in the process. You been hammering the guinness lately?

Don't really give much of a fuck if someone having a different opinion to you is annoying to you or not tbh.
2 videos specifically picked in isolation to demonstrate a point don't prove anything. Every player will occasionally look pacey - and that can often also be down to the oppo defender not anticipating the run and only reacting to it. Also, we could post a dozen video clips that show him being outpaced.

There are loads of vids of him in his time as a manure player showing his ability to run past his man at pace. You can't say that he hasn't got any pace because you are wrong, and that's a fact. Quite simple really.

Wow. Condescending arrogance overload there.
Only that's not what I said, is it? I didn't say "he hasn't got any pace". I said "he has very limited pace" and I said "in the big scheme of things Welbeck has no real pace, certainly not enough to play that lone striker role in a 4-5-1". That's not saying he hasn't got any at all. My point being that people were getting carried away praising something he has a very limited amount of. Maybe you should stick to insulting people on the EU thread in the basement? Y'know, calling anyone that disagrees with you a "Daily Mail" reader? Only I'd say in that case you are wrong, and that's a fact. Quite simple really.
