As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
"That is the danger. Just look at Louis Van Gaal or David Moyes as the great “I told you so” examples. There is no-one out there better than Wenger, in my view."

Well, he's right of course. If you don't mind your club stagnating for a decade, scraping that 4th place slot season after season after season, never really challenging for the PL (certainly not into the last 10 games when it really matters), not strengthening in summer or January when every dildo and his cousin can see you need to, well then, yes, there is no one out there better than latter day Wenger for mediocrity and prolonged failure.

Cross also says "He is building a new team for further success"
How is buying cast offs like Cech building?
Further success? We haven't been close to winning the league for such a long time there is no reason to do anything other than laugh.

TBF, he posted a link to the banner guy which most wouldn't do.
Agreed this guy reasons his case well, articulate and honest....spot on
And the anti banner, gatecrashing loudmouth was cut off. Perfect. Love to sit down with one of these pro Wenger guys and ask them some questions..... Is 4th all they want, is getting into the CL every year and going out in the 1st round of the KO's acceptable, is spending as little as possible and buying unknowns and then overpaying them acceptable..... the list goes on. How can you even begin to defend the man???

Who else could do the job? Be careful what you wish for!

Funny he doesn't ask "how about Ranieri or Pochettino or Guardiola" eh? Classic AKB always trying to highlight Wenker's positives by comparing him to failures. The only surprise was that he didn't also mention Remi Garde, Alan Curbishley or Steve Bruce
Klopp, Ancelotti, Pep, Mourinho, all more successful and all passed on.
Joachim Low, Allegri, Koeman etc still all out there as alternatives.
Of course, when Arsene arrived he was a massive household name in the mighty Japanese league eh...
I don't think Arsenal fans have a 'sense of entitlement'. I think we were promised that a move to a new stadium would enable us to compete with the 'big boys'. coupled with that, we pay high prices to watch a game and high wages to players, many of whom have stopped putting in a shift. I think the last sentence was a bit ambiguous too.
We expect to compete and nowadays, it's not just with the 'big boys', giving West Brom, Norwich and Swansea a run for their money would be a start! We are always told we play attractive football, well I rarely see attractive football from us now. I see supposedly inferior opposition reading our game well, because we are slow and ponderous in the build up. It's easy for a team to get back in defence because of said slow, ponderous build up and frankly, it's tedious! In the early days under Wenger we passed and moved with pace and were dynamic, not any more. We an be on the edge of their box one second and in the blink of an eye, be right back on the edge of our own box. We don't get in to the opposition box enough. We don't harass defenders and take them out of their comfort zone enough... OK, I'll stop now!

Exactly we only look dangerous when we raise the tempo, and run at opposing defences
This slow build up is painful to watch, how many times we were on the edge of the opposition penalty area only to pass back and end up back in our own half
This is a legacy of the way Barcelona play which Wenker is stuck with, trouble is they have Messi and co upfront who can suddenly finish at will
We don't have that luxury
Last night should end the notion by some that our fan-base is mostly for Wenger leaving, or that others are close to turning. Everyone on here is Wenger out, and we consistently stick to that view, but the last two games has shown that most fans are waiting for the moment to praise Wenger, no matter what shit team we beat. We have won 3 league games in 2016, and currently sit 8 points behind Leicester in a title race that was supposedly ours to lose, but draw with Spurs and beat championship Hull, and suddenly Wenger is a hero again. We could lose every game between now and Villa on the last day of the season, and if we won that, then Wenger would be treated like a hero. Stan may not be arsed to make a change when it comes to Wenger, but our fans sure don't help in that regard.
