As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I have to say, as someone who's been to the Westfalenstadion 4 times, that I can't help but be sceptical about this story or at least where the responsibility lies.
And they want to run the gauntlet of the shithole which is shite hart lane once in a while to remind themselves that they are cünts
As much as it is amusing to read about that lot getting a smack, exactly the same thing happened when we were there a few years back (the match where we won 1-0). Big crush, very slow to get in the ground, stewards incapable etc. I remember we arrived at the entrance about 90 mins before kick off, got into the away end as the teams were coming out. Was a complete shambles. So much for German efficiency...
Had no problems in Munich this year police where fine. As for the spuds no sympathy all you have to do is look at the vids from last week of them goading the gooners, as we went into the away end.
If they got a pasting its probably because they did something to deserve it.
I really dislike this modern day attitude of fielding weakened teams for cup competitions.
It's the UEFA Cup ffs! It'd ridiculous that it's become a tin pot trophy that tip pot clubs like the scum chuck away it used to be an awesome competition. As did the FA Cup. UEFA and the FA should be ashamed with the way they've handled these great, historic competitions

Yes mate, but they're such a massive club with a long track record of winning trophies that they can afford to. Oh well, at least they've already won the league

The (Uefa) cup is still big I would say, the problem lies more with the English sub-top teams for some reason not taking it seriously (too much money in the premiership I reckon), which might come back to bite their behinds as we all know, with Italian teams being up for it and grabbing the coefficient points.

I was there too mate, the big difference was that we didn't kick off like a bunch of c.nuts, in fact it felt like going to a game in the 70s when it was always a slow crawl into the ground, the difference being that the Germans were filing in with us. I'd rather see a game in Germany any day of the week than in Italy or Spain.

The UEFA Cup was cut off at the knees as soon as the CWC (great competition ) was scrapped and the ‘Champions’ League became the bloated shit-fest it is today.
Boring old fart I am but I really liked the three old European cups; all had great value & prestige in their own rights, now we are left with one cash cow for the top-tier teams and another that every English side seems to think is below them.

And yet the media (well BT Sport) went into a wankathon over the Victims v Manure game.."biggest game in Europe this week" I heard it called...As for Spurs fans...no sympathy for them after reading stories of Arsenal fans been indiscriminately attacked at their cess pit

Liverpool, Chelsea and United are the only English sides to have won a European trophy in the last two decades (no I am not counting West Ham's Intertoto success).
The arrogance and snobbery around the Europa League which is actually a bloody hard trophy to win with 47 knockout rounds is staggering, especially from a club like Spurs who have won two league cups in the last quarter of a century. Although we are probably the worst proponents for Europa league snobbery given our be all and end all attitude towards CL qualification.
