As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Why would he leave, in his mind, CL qualification equals a successful season. Do you think Stan cares about today's game, not a chance, as long as we are above 5th then that's all that matters. Also, Wenger didn't leave when we were embarrassed 8-2, or after any of the other embarrassments like Birmingham in the league cup, so not a hope of him walking away.
He would be out the door if our gutless fans didnt just sit back and take it up the arse every season.

Because......?? Is there some twisted thought process where we cant criticise others for doing nothing ? On this forum we criticise the board, the manager, the players and each other, but to criticise fans attending the games for doing fu.ck all is somehow classed as wrong ??
Btw I don't have away credits and don't have access to away tickets like many do
Its hypocritical, thats why. You said the wobs "folded like a deck of cards". Not true for a start.
This from someone who has done what? Ditched your season ticket.
You want a ticket for Everton? I'll get you a ticket, meet outside the ground. You can get off your arse and do something meaningful then. Hold up a card, flag, shout at Wenger, do whatever. Instead of mouthing off on the internet about others.

Can you get me 3 tickets mate......I'd like to bring both girlfriends to this one
The thing is the whole fans fighting each other might actually be a blessing in disguise.
Yes we really don't want fans to be fighting each other because frankly it embarrassing however neither does the club!
It produces bad PR for the club and that is one thing the club wont stand for and will start asking why, it really can't be good for the 'Brand' image that Stan wants to promote.
However i do expect any investigation to favour those for Wenger being the poor innocent bystanders and those against him to be banned from the ground

This whole situation is totally divisive.
The sad bit is that there shouldn't even be a debate about it. It's obvious that the players don't completely know what they are supposed to do, thus don't believe in it.

I agree with this. I respect season ticket holders who always renew regardless, and would never call them "sheep". They are doing whats right for them. Similairly someone like augie can give up his ST and fair play to him. My problem is people criticising others for not acting when they dont themselves.
Also its not "the situation" thats divisive........... Its Wenger mate. Its Wenger.

I actually think cancelling your season tickets and staying away is an acceptable form of protest, so no criticism from me for that. Vote with one's feet as they say. It would definitely work if the majority followed suit (which they won't - including me). That said, I'm much more in favour of a vocal protest.
I didn't see much evidence of "folding like a deck of cards" so I can't agree with augie there although I can understand he wanted to see more anger/booing at the end. My take on that was the effort put into the last 5mins to get an equalizer by players and fans alike was enough to dissipate any real sense of anger on the final whistle as all effort/energy was (quite rightly) put into helping the team.
In any case, I think the pressure has continued to build following another defeat and the banner has helped give the cause a focal point that even players and media are referring to, so fair play to the banner boys

Mate, I saw the shit Arsenal served up in 1994/95 when we had the likes of Hillier, Mcgoldrick and Helder in our midfield. I am an Arsenal fan as I said on the other thread, and although I am firmly in the wenger out camp I cannot and will not give up my season ticket. It's a massive social thing for me and I have made so many mates down the years who come to the games.

Mate I know this. Its not as easy as some try to make out. You have to do whats right for you. its just nonsense for people to slate ST holders and somehow blame them. The fault lies with Wenger ffs. No-one else.

Surely there's no coming back from that....is there?
The owner is in America and has no interest in football or whether Wenger has lost the dressing room. All he'll see is the financial results, and another top 4 = kerching! $$$$$!!!
Would Wenger walk of his own accord? - evidence suggests he's quite happy to hold this club back for as long as he can rake in £8m a year.

Its gonna be the fans that get him out (not by giving up sts but by action, highlighting his failure), yes and the media. Look how Wrighty has backtracked this week. His ego wont allow him to take all the flak hes gonna get.
This is the endgame mate. This is Arsenal history and we are part of it.
In the first half of AW's reign we rolled lower league opponents over. I don't remember us losing to one for years on end. Now, when the gulf between the divisions is greater than ever, it's a regular embarrassment for us, yet the Wenger apologists insist he's still the man.
