Weekend games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I thought that prior to the goal, the geordies were the better team and should have scored at least one  Even after the goal, mitrovic had a great chance before being knocked over by his team-mate

I have to say that I think that the pressure is getting to Leicester......actually let me clarify and say that it is getting to their fans. The stadium was like a morgue before they scored and, even though the team was playing ok, you could still sense the nervousness from the fans

Yeah agree with Augie there. The first signs of Leicester doing a shit their pants is on display tonight. Newcastle have been the better team for the most part and I wouldn't at all be surprised to see an equaliser here. Not sure what sort of result to hope for anymore. Fuck the lot of em.

Agree with you both, Rafa with only 3 days in the job has them playing better even at 1 down, i reckon the barcodes could knick a draw here if they keep it together :rubchin:

That's back to back clean sheets winning both games one nil. Have to give credit to the fucking rabble with Morgan and Huth at centre back. What the fuck is going on

Albrighten a villa reject, Drinkwater??? Fucking hell this will be cool running levels of shit if they go on to win it. The league should disband in shame if it happens.

just relieved they have the five point cushion over the scum.

and looking at their fixture list, it should get bigger before it gets smaller. wish it wasn't this way and that we were top, but face facts, it ain't happening.

What are they now, 5 clear with 8 games to go? If they win five and draw one, they'll be champions, I reckon. Even with two defeats, they'll do it because the scum will lose at the chavs and bin dippers and we'll lose at Everton and Man City and probably West Ham too, draw at least one other and City are well out of it.

Exactly...6 weeks ago we'd have been praying for an equaliser.
That's the low we've reached, wanting fucking Leicester to win :banghead:

Yep sad we want Leicester to win. But i couldn't stomach it. Seeing Sir Harry Kane and the rest of those fuckers lifting the Cup.

When I die I want the Arsenal squad to lower me into my grave so they can let me down one last time.

If we were in Leicester's position, you know we'd fuck it all up and finish fourth. Out of the remaining 8 games, we'd pick up 10 points, maximum.
So, in theory, because it won't happen, what needs to happen for us to actually win the worst league title in living memory? I reckon we need seven wins out of nine and two draws whilst Leicester lose at least 3 and draw 3.

Agree with you on this. I think Leicester are being found out and had they come up against a striker that would shoot from 8 yards, I think they would have lost this. I didn't see anything from them to suggest that they can hold it together in the final 8 games, their last three matches have seen very fortunate results against organised teams that just fall short of quality needed. Palace away should be their undoing. Newcastle are as bad as villa and unless rafa can get them scoring will go down. At least sunderland have a goal threat with defoe, just they have a shambolic defence which now includes Eboue....
Spuds will come undone against Liverpool, utd and chelski, and on current form can see Bournemouth getting a draw (wishfull thinking I know)
