fair play to Kroenke for saying this to be honest.
at least he is saying it like it is. why can't Wenger come out after a match and admit that we fucked up instead of spouting nonsense about "mental strength"

and I will also defend Kroenke on not sacking Wenger - the guy is american, he views our matches from afar, and what he looks at are our balance sheets (season tickets renewed - tick) and our scope for global growth (tick up until about now...)
The league position/cup exits are irrelevant so anyone hoping for 5th and Wenger to be sacked will be disappointed.

I am currently pinning my hopes on the damage to the Arsenal brand which is taking place right now.
Arsenal and Wenger are increasingly being seen as damaged goods and a laughing stock. This is not good for business and Kroenke is a top businessman. Increase the bad publicity (Arsenal getting stuffed in Barcelona will highlight to the world what a mess the club is in - and why Wenger will play his strongest side) and struggle to shift the season tickets and Wenger will suddenly become surplus to requirements
