Reports Ozil and Sanchez are getting annoyed. This is what will happen if we dont actually compete. In Wengers mind, making the last 16 is something to be proud of, but the likes of Ozil and Sanchez, having played for Barcelona and Real Madrid, and regularly gone deep into the champions league stages, are not going to be pleased with constant exits at the first hurdle. If it dawns on them finishing in the top 4 and winning the domestic cup is the glass ceiling, they will F off very quickly.

Cesc and RVP left for the same reason, although both stayed at the club for many years, thats because they knew nothing else and felt they owed Wenger. When Cesc won the world cup with Spain, I knew his mind was made up. Imagine the high of winning the World Cup, playing with would be team mates Xavi, Iniesta, ect, and contrast that to the rubbish at Arsenal. RVP was 29 and realised he had to leave otherwise his decade in English football would be a solitary FA Cup medal.

Wenger can pull the wool over the eyes of the likes of Feo, Ramsey, Chamberlain, Giroud, as they dont know success and football at the highest level, but trying to convince Ozil and Sanchez that this is a good season where 'progress' was made. They wont have it. Wenger needs to admit failure and not accept the season going the way it has. But his ego wont allow it. As if Ozil and Sanchez hear about 'success' this season, why wouldnt they become dismayed?

I fear the consequence of keeping Wenger, will drive our best players away.

Nobody has mentioned this yet but straight after Watford in FA Cup Wenker was grilled about his team selection and why he started Giroud when Welbeck managed more in 10 mins than the French donkey managed in 70
Wenker responded that "Welbeck was not medically even supposed to be on a pitch".
Most of us suspected that this was an outright lie to just take the pressure off his incompetence. So fancy realising that Welbz has gone from "not medically fit to play at all" on a Sunday, to starting back to back key games at the Nou Camp on the Wednesday, and at Goodison just 2 days after that. :rubchin:

And there's the problem with these ex-players and journos they use social media but fail to realise that they can't control it.

There are many many people on social media these days who are more literate, have a good understanding of modern football and who are able to get their point across without sounding like total psychos (Ike aside  ) and so the general footballing public can have their say and eventually it'll get reported.

It's a lot harder to hide behind the excuses when any person with an internet connection and an ability to use google (other search engines are available) can pick those excuses to pieces time and time again. :rubchin:

Giroud is rubbish. At the midway point of the year, you thought he would easily break 20 goals a season, yet he has struggled big time, going on a ill fated 12 game goal drought. He just isnt capable of getting to 20 league goals. This will be his 4th year at the club, and he hasn't even got close to scoring 20. His best year is 16 - which is rubbish. Adebayor was a better player.

Giroud is an arrogant waste of space. The bloke is a Europa League player in a 2 up top system. Not only has the bloke won the footballing lottery by being our lone striker for 4 seasons with the manager refusing to sign serious competition and paying him literally twice as much as even the next craziest club would, he manages to strut around as though we are beneath him.

For me Welbeck is a squad player at best (and not really equipped to be a lone striker) but Christ he runs himself into the ground despite having been injured for nearly a year and despite his limitations you can see that he tries to do the right things more often than not. Contrast with Giroud who came on at Spurs and Everton and fucking sauntered around the pitch rather than running his knackers off chasing down defenders.

Sums up the last decade - simply not good enough, attitude is not there and cannot cut it against the better opposition. In turn awarded staggeringly undeserved lucrative contracts and persistent team selection, because he won't rock the boat (and why the fuck would he?).

You don't win titles with Giroud - end of. Kane and Vardy are hardly the best strikers in the world but 21 and 19 PL goals are why Spurs and Leicester are where they are. If Aguero was fit and firing this season he would probably have managed an extra 10 goals and City would be right up there despite the rest of their sides performing. Christ a bang average Liverpool side nearly won the league due to one world class striker and one performing at an excellent level for half a season. nobody has ever won the PL with such a poor lead striker as Giroud and we aren't about to change that.

Maybe if they pulled their finger out and performed we could have pulled out a victory against Barcelona, we had excellent chances to score and both missed their opportunities. I'm not defending wenger. They were both culpable of missing opportunities when the score was one nil. Instead of getting pissed off with the club, they needed to step up on the big stage...maybe its the reason they are playing for us and not still at Barcelona and Real
Madrid.

It's absolutely unbelievable the loyalty he shows to guys like Giroud, Ramsey, Walcott, etc.... There is just so much wrong with Wenger... he buys players, they turn out to be sub standard, then he gets defensive and defends them. So now he's talked himself into a corner, and not one to ever say "I was wrong," he then perseveres with them, and worst of all, hopelessly overpays them. And THAT is how we end up with bang average players, fiercely loyal to him (wouldn't you be??) and earning a fortune.

If you remember it wasn't that long ago Walcott was holding us to ransom, threatening to leave if he didn't get the money he wanted. Walcott!!!

Sorry but this is nonsense
It's the same bollocks reasoning that was used when RVP left "he's part of the failure". No he wasn't, he was playing with clowns and the minute he joined a serious club and manager he won the PL. Nasri same. Cesc same. Ozil and Sanchez can't do it alone, they need quality support and you're never winning anything with jokes like Meltesacker and Gabriel, and Flamini and donkey Giroud up front.
Just like with RVP, the minute Ozil joins a serious club with a top class striker up top he will break assist records and win pots. Top players need to play with other top players, it's a joke that Ozil and Sanchez have to play with such dross. As for Giroud and Wally, on £130k and £140k a week each, yet Giroud the only number 9 at the club can't start ahead of Welbeck when fit, Wally is considered (and is) inferior to Iwobi. And yet the oil money clubs are apparently the ones who inflate prices and spunk money up the wall  Giroud is Lille or Nantes level, incredible he's at Arsenal and relative to wages and league numbers will go down as one of our worst ever strikers.

Wenker came out with another gem "tell me a team that wouldn't miss a player of Welbeck's quality for eight months"
:coffeespit: :coffeespit:

Welbz works hard but face it he's a ManYoo reserves reject. Never scored 10 league goals in a season in his life. Erratic finisher.
Yet being spoken of as the reason for failure. At Wenker FC it's never about who's on the pitch but who's missing. "with a fit Wilshere"..."tell me what team wouldn't miss Cazorla"... :blah: :blah: :blah:
Like the time he said finding a midfielder of Arteta's level in the market was impossible

Could you imagine Welbeck or Bebe holding Fergie to random?
:coffeespit: :coffeespit:
That's the equivalent here. And you actually had fans worried Wankpot was leaving! Fuck me the guy is a poor man's Glenn Helder FFS. Yet his contract became "a saga". Only at Arsene FC eh? Now you couldn't give him away to your local pub side

I heard he had signed with Man.U. Whether he has or not, he won't come to us. He'll make demands because he wants to win things and it's not the way we roll. I believe if & when Wenger leaves he'll have a big say in his replacement anyway.... and it sure as hell won't be Mourinho. Btw Remi Garde is on the verge of being booted out of AV, so Wenger might convince the board to bring him in as an understudy, then when Wenger moves upstairs (after all he's earned the right) Remi can take over full time. But still as an understudy as Wenger will be sitting above him. Sounds like a terrific plan,no? :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

to be honest after Wenger's comments in the past week I would be happy for us to appoint anyone else.
I'm not saying that mourinho would be top of my list but if it is him or Wenger managing us next season then I would go for Mourinho no question

I never understood why fans are opposed to having Mourinho at the club. He is an arrogant, disrespectful wanker, but we already have one of those, so it wouldn't be too much of a change in that respect. As for the idea that he wouldn't hang around long term, well when Wenger does go, It will be the end of the long term managers, no manager is staying at any club longer than a few years. If you told me we would win the title under Mourinho, and be competitive in Europe, then I would take it.
