THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Unfortunately for the fools doing the spitting and attacking, they seemingly didnt realise that the guys with the banner were not alone.

The guy you refer to was defending the right to protest peacefully without getting abused or assaulted. But you know whats even funnier? Hes not even a Wenger outter, more of a Kroenke outter, but sees the need for change..... Oh that and the fact hes related to one of the lads who was being spat on.

Also just an fyi to anyone reading these boards who thinks its clever to attack someone from behind who is facing the pitch with his arms in the air holding a banner and apparantely "defenceless". Dont.
These guys have done it before and know what they're doing and there are people ready to step in to protect them. Theres also the genuine gooners standing by who are not prepared to let it happen either, shich also happenec on saturday.

Fair fucks to him for battling back from his horrible health problems; but he talks nothing but bollocks - esp. when it comes to Wenger.

The bloke spouts more shit than Martin Keown, if that's even possible.

On the off chance that any of the people responsible for spitting at fellow Gooners because of a fucking banner are reading this (which I doubt):

Grow the fuck up and have a fucking word with yourselves; despicable behaviour from supposedly grown men.

Hahaha I see it has taken the Arseblogger just about a week to return to the fence. Now flip flopping despite explicitly saying the club should sack him if Arsenal fail to win the league.

Thanks, actually if Roy watched PL football he wouldn't see Walcott anyway... because he cannot make the starting line up of a team that has Welbek & Giroud up front

I can't locate the exact quote, but last night I read (somewhere on this forum) that 'no manager would have been able to do any better with the club during this transition to the new stadium', and all I can say to that is UTTER BOLLOCKS.

Even if we do acknowledge that there were financial limitations, AW voluntarily dipped into the club's pocket to fund the likes of Walcott, Eboue, Denilson, Bendtner, Almunia, Song, Diaby, and so on. Would Ferguson or Mourinho have brought this dross to the club and then persisted with them for year after year, even when they kept making mistakes and putting in terrible performances on a weekly basis? Of course they fucking wouldn't have.

Financial limitations absolutely does not absolve Wenger of the terrible on-field decisions he's made for the last decade. Other users have said that we shouldn't forget all the good he did for the club. Fine, but we equally shouldn't overlook the last 11 years of total ***** either.

"He's earned the right to decide when he leaves"

Still my favourite quote of choice from endless AKBs and punters alike

Anyone see this line in the article defending Wenger "How in heaven’s name did he manage to keep us at the top end of the table when he was buying on the cheap?

These people must think you cant look deeper into it. In the old big 4 days, it was us, Liverpool, United and Chelsea: 4 teams, 4 champions league places, with Wenger usually bottom of the pile in 4th. So whats the great achievement then? Finishing ahead of Tottenham under any one Jol, Ramos, and Redknapp, or Everton under David Moyes?

Then we got lucky, as when Man City got their money, Liverpool had their idiot American owners and had a couple of years of Hodgson and Dalglish. Again, we often bottomed out and Wenger finished bottom of the pile in 4th. Who were our rivals for 4th in this time frame - Tottenham.

So why do the Wenger disciples continue to roll out this dog shit talk of how Wenger pulled of the impossible to keep us in the top 4? He kept us above Tottenham, Everton, and Liverpool managed by Woy and then Dalglish.

Wenger has brainwashed so many fans into really believing he is a miracle worker. I cannot comprehend how anyone can revel in the 'achievement' of finishing in 4th so often - as if another manager couldnt have done it.

This must be the most pro Wenger piece I have ever read. Suddenly the Everton game proved that things are coming right for the club :banghead: . What will deluded fuckers like this do when wanker does go.

AKBs are such a reprehensible lot. Their latest ploy to shift the spotlight off their lord and master after another failed season, is to turn the heat up on the old syrup. What's really shocking, though, is seeing some on the other side of the fence falling for this bit of inanity. Ffs get a grip you WOB bastards.

Lest people have forgotten, all our on field problems predate wiggy. I'm not for a second coming to his defence, as we all know the *word censored* has next to no interest in actual football related issues, but there is not an iota of proof that he has ever put an embargo on the old fraud. This is all wenker's doing. It's the continuation of the silly project he embarked on post invincibles. He's still preoccupied with proving that his methods are correct and is happy to carry on the self-harming for a reward of £8 mil per year. He couldn't give a fuck a less about a few miserable peasants, who've never worked a day in footie, breathing a bit of hot air and showing what a bunch of ingrates they are holding up banners at away games.

I'm at the point where I seriously think mortality will be our rescuer. Like all despots, he'll never admit failure and walk away. Someone among us balls will definitely have to drop making him fancy becoming a martyr. Augie or Ike perhaps. We promise to put up pictures of you and sing you songs of praise during a special commemorative hour at every virtual barbecue hosted by SteveO. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

A few of the usual gems there:

"Occasionally vulgar, taking banners to the terraces" what a spin on mostly respectfully worded banners.

The good old "no coaching badges but you know best" . I think wenker penned this article himself and gave it to this acolyte of his.

Face it guys, with utter hackjobs like these around pulling off these kind spins, it's completely futile hoping tof is nearing an exit. I think at the end of this season I'll be taking a sabbatical from all Arsenal related matters till the loony bin fucks off to wherever.

GoonerMuzz wrote:Why would Barcelona sell Neymar with a mere 29 goals this season, a level Sanchez never reached? Thats nonsense.
Kane and Alli, Vardy and Mahrez, Silva and Aguero...each pairing has scored/ produced more goals for their teams than Sanchez and Ozil...we know we need a top striker but those two should be hitting Suarez and sturridge return in goals but they haven't. They need to play the best 8 games of their careers to even match the aforementioned partners.

Nos please don't talk rubbish, Sanchez has massively underperformed this season i agree but he was out for a long period and has been unable to recreate last seasons form, but to insinuate he needs to try harder is a load of :cussing: , if anything he needs to tone it back and go more simple and let his form come back to him.

Ozil is not, never has been and never will be a striker so to claim someone who has scored 5 goals and has created 18 this season is under performing is a gross misrepresentation of the facts, not only that but he has created over 100 chances this season, you cannot blame him for the strikers not converting those chances some of which have been golden and they have flopped on.

Ozil is a playmaker end of story, he is not a striker, he is not a defensive midfielder or a box to box one, yes his head goes down all to often but to be honest if i was in his boat i think i'd feel similar. :box:

Yet again we are left with a situation where certain fans seem to think that one or two players should carry the whole team, you used Leicester as an example but i'd look at it another way, you have 1 or 2 really good players in that team with a whole bunch of average players playing their bollocks off which has carried the entire squad to a wholely unexpected level, to be honest our massively more expensive and supposedly superior squad should look at them and hang their heads in shame and embarrassment :banghead:
You've stated I talk nonsense and rubbish but ended up agreeing with me, that the players need to look at themselves. Ozil is by far and away our player of the season but in big game's that count he hasn't delivered, neither has Sanchez. If those two can click for the last 8 games it would be raise the morale, and the play of the others in the team.
