As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
My mom once walked out of a shop at night and hopped into what she thought was my dad's car, squeezed the guy's leg and told him to drive on. It was of course the wrong car and the guy just said (jokingly) "Where to, luv?". She nearly died with embarrassment. My old man nearly died laughing at her as he sat in the car behind the one she had just hopped into!
I am laughing out loud here!
In my younger days I had a blind date set up through a friend where I had to meet the girl in the sumptuous surroundings of the car park of Burger King in the Walworth Road.
It was agreed I would wait in my car and flash my headlights when the girl matching the description I had been given approached.
Imagine my surprise when I did so and the girl got into the car next to mine, to be met be a driver shouting "Help, help leave me alone" and sounding his horn!
For the record the date got me nowhere.
Perhaps a little worryingly, my dad once parked his car (Escort? Montego? not sure) in a darkly lit car park before going to watch me in a football game. After the game, he went back to the car park, went over to the car, unlocked it and got in...
It was at this point he realised that the headrest had moved, the seat was not in the normal position and basically everything was wrong - he was in the wrong car!
It was the same make and model - and a similar colour - yet he'd unlocked it with his key! hmm.... very safe! (is this common?)
In the old days Ford used to have about 14 varieties of locks and keys that would be allocated to nearly all their cars. So if you got hold of the set of keys you could unlock nearly all Ford vehicles on the road!
But very few of those cars would still be roadworthy now.
Well, this was probably about 15 years ago, and it was probably an old car then as it was his work van, so yeah - that would make sense, I guess.
Yeah, 15 years ago would be about right.
Ford, the budget end of the market, I have a Ford, but no such problems with Rolls Royce.
