As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This guy cost us less than Squillaci. I'll leave it at that.
If in doubt, sign someone cheap from the French league! That is going to be on Wengers fucking headstone. c**t of the very very highest order.
No you don't. There are hundreds of examples of big money signings turning out to be duds......
and small signings turning out to be quality, EG Anelka, Fabregas,
I know what your trying to get at (I think) but comparing Anelka and Fabregas (who were just starting out in their respective careers) to a player plying his trade already, and in an already relegated team are two different things...
Is this signing not further proof of the money money money attitude of Gazidis and the board.
This guys being signed to sell shirts in Asia lets not kid ourselves here.
a 26 Year old striker with a 1 in 4 strike rate at a club relegated to Ligue 2 to IMPROVE our team?
No Chance- all those shirt sales= bigger dividend, more money for the fat cat Kroenke.
People talk about Park Ji-Sung at United but he actually had pedigree before they bought him. He was 24 and had played a big part in getting PSV to a CL Semi-Final.
Purple nose didnt just buy him for the revenue (that did help of course) but also because he added to the mancs team. How many goals has he scored in big games for them?
Did you know that South Korea are ranked 33 in the world, whereas Eden Hazard's Belgium are ranked 37th? They are also ahead of Ghana, Nigeria and the Czech Republic. And some 22 places ahead of Scotland.
For Park to be their captain and to have over 50 caps is quite some achievement..... despite some of the comments on here that are bordering on xenophobic or possibly even racist.
And I can understand what people are saying about it being cheap. But that doesn't in itself make it bad. Have to say that I for one know little about Hazard or Young - and I suspect that I'm not alone.... And yet most of you would have preferred that we'd paid £26m for one rather than £3-5m for the other.....
Citeh have proved how badly things can go wrong over the last few years by waving their cheque book around......Adebayor being just the latest in a long line. Of course though, they can afford a few duffers along the way whereas we can't.
Park may not be the answer to our striking problems - although I take a lot of heart from Vince's comments - but I do think this should be seen, and applauded for what it is. A good/canny piece of business!!!!
