LILLE, France - Lille were left baffled on Saturday at the disappearance of Park Chu-Young, Monaco’s South Korean striker who failed to show up for a medical having agreed terms to join the French champions.

Lille president Michel Seydoux said: “We haven’t had a telephone call, nothing.â€

South Korean striker Park Chu-Young is having a medical at Arsenal ahead of a proposed 3million euros switch from Monaco.
Chu-Young is expected to leave Monaco before the transfer window slams shut following their relegation from the French top-flight last season.

The BBC have reported he is now having a medical at Arsenal after the Gunners saw a bid accepted by Monaco.

The French outfit are believed to value Chu-Young, who has been linked with Liverpool, Bolton and Fulham in the past, at around £6million but have lowered their valuation due to relegation to Ligue 2.

So 60 odd million from cesc/nasri and we're signing a 3 million euro Korean player

Great, don't spend 25 million on a proven striker like cavani, sign a 2nd rate striker from a French league two side

Great signing to replace Bendtner. More experienced, played major tournaments, captain of South Korea.

£2m pounds is a steal really. Talk of Ligue 2 player is not right, they got relegated with Monaco he scored 12 league goals last season, not highly prolific but still good. He is easily worth 4 times that only they were relegated. Pissed off Lille no doubt in the process.

For everyone who doesnt rate Vela (I dont), thinks Chamakh has turned rubbish (everyone) and with Bendtner leaving, this is a GOOD SIGNING.

Lets just have some patience for ONCE AND GET BEHIND HIM.

Fucking stupid people rubbishing him when they never seen him kick a ball.....

1. You've never seen the bloke play.

2. Cavani is not all that, and anyway isnt worth 30m it would cost to sign. We were never interested.

Lets just give the bloke a chance, hes a SQUAD PLAYER along with hopefully Joel Campbell, Afobe and Chamakh and possibly Walcott.

He's not a big name but he is very good player.

Something is wrong here when I'm the most positive person. People need to fucking chill, everyone moans about Bentdner Vela and Chamakh and new signings, then we sign a bloke nobodays seen, he is written off.

Chill people.

LOL only us.

No hazard for this guy, he better be good.

Now watch 80M dissapear into thin air, glazer style.

Well I've stated for a long we need a striker, as long as his touch is good and he can actually shoot its an improvement.

But still, that money...we wont forget.

I like this comment.
He almost saved AS monaco from Relegation but... AS monaco are just awful. There midfield and defense is just awful. Every team double marked him if not triple marked him since he was always the lone striker. He'd only get 1 or 2 chances a game.
Anyway uploader says hes deleting the video since he double crossed Lille after agreeing terms with them and snook at midnight to join us.

How old is he? If older than the norm at least he has got Young in his name... although more of our money going back to the French league... Feather Le Nest

So, will this guy help us win the league? Or will he do just enough (at a bargain basement price) to keep us in the top four?

26 good age really.

I think some people will be pleasantly surprised by this signing.
