Just was'nt good enough and we are not, simple as that. Shame because i was quietly confident this season. And yes i know that it's only a few games in but i can see more of this from away fixtures. Stoke being one and Middlesbrough.

Tactics were horribly wrong yesterday, that greedybastardbayor should of been on the bench and he should of gone with Nik and RVP up top. Would of brought Vela on earlier aswel.

So what that Sunderland were a little rough, it's football ffs, the quicker Wenger realises that the quicker he can identify our problems.

Our support was not good either, it felt like a 12:45 k/o, everyone seemed sleepy, probably due to the fact of the long trip. The Sunderland fans were singing that greedybastardbayors song aswel. but his dad washes elephants and his mums a whore version.

It's the only version I could be bothered to sing either 8)

I haven't read all the posts so sorry if these sort of things have been covered - but nothing that has happened in us winning or losing this season has changed my outlook and view on the team.

We did not address the central issues of the summer and are now having to mix and match, and playing players because we have no alternative.

The club says it wants to challenge for the major trophies and yet consistently ties its hands and feet behind its back.

We should all get use to the fact that we will probably get in the top four by default, maybe get towards the latter stages of the FA Cup with a kind draw and get to the latter stages in Europe (where our frailties are not over-exposed) until we play an English team.

Fucking inept, the players and Monsieur Wenger.

I swear to god that Arsene is now more worried about his philosophy and legacy than winning trophies. This is a personal crusade for him that is carried on regardless of us, the paying supporters.

Four nil wins over mediocre sides in the Champions League gloss over our failure to take points from mediocre sides in the league, which after all is our bread and butter.

Team selections seem crazy, substitutions even weirder and the excuses come thick and fast. Wenger, it is not our right to expect teams to play open and attacking football against us which suits our attacking qualities. Teams have sussed out long ago that the best chance they have of beating us is to string a line across the box. It does not take a genius to do this but it is effective. You Arsene should have known teams would AGAIN do this to us but you have chosen to do little about it by either buying players to combat this or by using tactics to draw teams out.

Why was Nasri on the bench Saturday? He has been our most creative player so far this season. Why did you take off Walcott? One of the best ways to break down the methods used by Sunderland it to stretch them right across the pitch by using wide players. This hopefully makes gaps through the centre and also gives the wingers the opportunity to get behind the full back. Just like Theo did for our wrongly chalked off goal.

Sure bring on Bendtner, but to replace Walcott with Nicolas playing wider right? Have you gone mad Arsene?

I now read this morning that Wenger feels the players were mentally tired after the Porto game. Yes the Porto game played last Tuesday! What a load of bollocks. Even if they were tired it is your job to notice this and to sort it out in the preparation leading up to the next game. You obviously didn't do this. You also start whining how every shot against us is goping in at the moment. Geovanni's and Leadbitter's goal for Sunderland were no flukes but would have been a lot less likely to happen if someone had stepped out the back four to shut them down. That is just rank bad defending and you know it so stop with the "woah me" excuses.

Start realising that this team is not good enough. We have has a piss easy start to the season in comparrison to others but we have already virtually screwed our chances of the title.

When will someone be held accountable?

When the fuck will we learn to shoot from outside the area? I think Bendtner was the only one who actually had a dig from outside the box and the amount of times we got it wide and no one was in the box for a cross... :banghead:

We only have ourselves to blame (and that cunty lino for saying theo ran it out) but atleast i went home glad that we didnt lose....

Dont worry its early days everything will be ok we will go on a 20 game unbeaten run winning 15 of them and end up winning the league

Positives:
No Injuries
Late point, showing willingness to come back. Not that anyone will credit our captain for it
Scored from a corner
Nic played well again
Almunia put in a decent performance
Lots of possession
If you had asked me at the last international break, I would have taken a point at Sunderland.

Negative:
I also expected us to beat Hull back then, our defeat meant we needed a win at Sunderland
Error by Song, frustrating but must make sure he doesn't get caught there again
The only creativity we had was Nic late on and crossing from the right
Seemed to have no game plan
Backline again looked uncertain

We can complain about two gaols disallowed in a weak but in both games, we didn't test the keepers enough. Against Hull, we created chances but then proceeded to waste it by having an appalling first touch, against Sunderland we were unable to break through them.

I am afraid that all of those negatives are very familiar magic and will be repeated.

And I am still not convinced by Song. We need a player/players with energy and several of those playing in midfield are just not showing displaying this. It's the Premier League, not Serie A or a CL game.

I'm not sure getting a point, albeit with a last minute equaliser, against a team we should be beating should be classed as a positive  I also now feel that we could do with a few injuries to certain players(greedybayor, gallas and maybe rvp ?) cos otherwise wenger will not drop these players no matter how bad their form and will not give players like bedtner, vela and djouru a fair shout
