Goodbye Eduardo

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The shameful Taylor and Celtic incidents must make him wish AW never called

We have some major c**ts in our footballing culture. He was never given the credit or understanding his talent/personality deserved. Seemed a genuinely nice guy. Good luck Eddie

Shit I didnt realise this was official until now.

Best of Luck Eddie!!!!

Suppose this means Vela, Bentdner, Chamackh and Van Persie the front 4 options this season........not good enough

no, it means we have three options for central striker (van persie, bendtner and chamakh) plus 6 options for the wide roles (vela, arshavin, walcott, nasri, rosicky, wilshere). that's exactly three teams. it's more than enough in my opinion.

Its defensively where we are lacking the most

exactly! our problem is central defenders and goalkeepers. no need to worry about offensive qualities of this team.

Be lucky if we get half a season out of RVP, Bendtner, well, he's Bendtner and Chamakh who knows.

Vela, Walcott not got it, Arshavin not a wide man, Rosicky and Nasri mostly anonymous and injury prone and Wilshere who knows.

I do worry about the offensive qualities of this team.

it's very easy to say our squad is not good enough. very easy. wanna see me do it?

van persie: not the quickest, average right foot, average header. a central striker with average header? always injured, can't be counted
fabregas: slow, too short, can't head a ball, doesn't want to play here, defensively flawed
vermaelen: huge positioning mistakes, not very tall, too quiet for a commanding CH

i can do it with old players too:

dennis: average header, disappeared for minutes in a few games, injury prone, average pace

see?

the fact is, last season we scored loads of goals and had bendtner, or sometimes eduardo and vela playing as rvp was injured and chamakh was not here yet. and still, we scored plenty of goals, just look at the numbers. our problems are at the back

Sad day. One of our most gifted strikers, but never recovered from the assault in Birmingham.

Wouldnt be surprissed if the link with Loic Remy came true, we all know Wenger has an obsession with strikers ????

I'm gutted for Eduardo, he looked a class player before his 'injury'

I know that Taylor will be forever blamed for that 'tackle' but I can't help feeling that McLeish is equally to blame, he sends the players out with a ''kick 'em of the park'' game plan, a *word censored* of a manager who is built in a similar way to his mentor Ferguson.

The sooner that Brum are relegated the sooner this horrible *word censored* is sacked.
