They don"t even need it.
I don"t know whats better. Seeing them get rejected and keeping it the way it is, or seeing them only half fill their 60000 stadium week-in and week-out.
It's the same thing with the spammers, they can't sell out a london derby with fulham FFS yet they want a 60,000 stadium in Stratford courtesy of London council taxpayers.

They'll probably get the planning permission as levy keeps threatening the council with pulling out of the area. God knows Tottenham high road is a cesspool enough as it is, without a flash new hotel and a half empty stadium what would the council do.......
No doubt Haringey council will move all the illegal immigrants into the hotel as a form of temporary accomodation. Thats how bad Tottenham high road is

Just got in from the shops and a load of trampy scum supporters in the streets wearing the kit like they've won the cup already, they actually make me feel sick inside.

Aparently the council were not happy about the media speculation regarding Spurs bidding to move to the olympic site. Taken from 606

"On three occasions so far, different councillors have asked the spurs rep to comment on media reports of us apparently putting a bid in for the Stratford stadium. The spurs rep refused to comment on it and asked the councillors to consider the bid infront of them. A councillor then said, our plan states that we build the supermarket first before the stadium and they have concerns that if accepted, we'd build the supermarket then up sticks to stratford. The tottenham rep refused to comment."
