http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 050558.stmTottenham have registered an interest in taking over the London 2012 Olympic Stadium, the club has announced.
Spurs join fellow Premier League side West Ham in submitting a formal interest in the 80,000-seater stadium.
"It is only prudent and good management that we ensure that we investigate all possible options for the club," said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Spurs also had planning permission for a new stadium in north London approved by Haringey Council on Thursday.
I think you're right. But there's still a chance they could opt for the Olympic Stadium as it will probably cost significantly less than the £400m to build a new shithole.kingjayson1 wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 050558.stmTottenham have registered an interest in taking over the London 2012 Olympic Stadium, the club has announced.

I think they just registered interest to call Haringey councils bluff. The council didn't want them pulling out of a massive regeneration project of one of the shittest areas of London.
I think "The Stadium of Cunts" is more accurate.franksav63 wrote:I wonder if they'll rename it??? The White Elephant Lane, perhaps???
They maybe even be able to get Greedy to wash it???!!![]()
Think they were planning on knocking the shithole down stand by stand & carrying on playing there in a 3/4 empty stadium while they build the new shithole. Which will be perfect practice for when it’s complete and they’re still playing in a 3/4 empty stadium. As in they’ll knock down the Brady Look At That Stand but keep the rest in tact and when that new stand’s done they’ll knock down the Ray Kennedy We Won The League At The Shithole Header Stand and so on.Bring Back Pires wrote:Also, where are they planning on playing if they do rebuild WHL? Isn't it on the same spot?
Yeah your right, this is how they propose to do it;Its Up 4 Grabs Now wrote:Think they were planning on knocking the shithole down stand by stand & carrying on playing there in a 3/4 empty stadium while they build the new shithole. What's the odds they wont even be able to fill SHL when the capacity's reduced during rebuilding yet they'll still be yapping on about getting 60,000 once it's finished?!:awnker:
So they’re gonna demolish & rebuild from scratch 3/4 of The New Shithole all in the space of the off-season?kingjayson1 wrote:PHASE 1
New stadium build commences to the North of the existing stadium. The existing stadium remains in use at full capacity.
PHASE 2
Out of season, the North Stand of the existing stadium is demolished and the new pitch is laid.
PHASE 3
The partially completed new stadium is in use for one season with a capacity in excess of the current ground. The remainder of the existing stadium is demolished.
PHASE 4
Out of season the remainder of the new stadium is completed, ready for the start of the following season.

What sort of tinpot lego-land shit are they building? Is it Robbie Keane & Sons who’ve given them that quote? Maybe he’s done them a deal on the tarmac-ing & brickwork too.
