Stop being a smart alec, Babachukwu was on and I was asking a legitimate question, wondering how his beloved scum would do tomorrow.

By the way my other personality wants you to foxtrot Oscar for being so impertinent. Don't blame me, he said it,not me :(
I think you need to check your meds and/or how much of that tequila you've drunk!

For me the main issue was seeing sanchez and chambers escape without injury and hopefully that is the case 8)

Tbh I cant be arsed getting pissed off at this result - we all knew that we wouldn't be putting out our strongest team, and we all knew that we would continue using the same bullshit tactical system, so how could we expect anything resembling a positive performance ? Of course it should concern us all that Southampton also rested players tonight but were still strong enough to easily knock our asses out of this cup

A few years ago we were using this cup to blood some really promising standout young players but even that isn't the case anymore :( All I hear about bellerin is about how fast he is but nobody says that he is a great defender or tough as nails or an excellent man marker/natural defender - is pace the only thing that matters anymore ? :? It seems that he is the most talked about prospect coming through which brings me back to the suggestion that we don't even have 1 outstanding young prospect that is remotely close to the first team

Kolo Toure concedes a 120th minute penalty to send Boro-Victims to a shootout. Hilarious.

Bit before my time but it's just not the same now mate. I'd still like to win it but it's a bit of a joke competition. Personally I would happily see it scrapped.

And restrict our chances of winning anything under Inspector Clueless to a competition that doesn't begin until January?

Oh well, at least the close season will extend from late May to the first week of the New Year

Not. At. ALL.

Steve O, the reality is that I find it hard to be arsed about a game that I know that the club, the manager and the players don't give a fcuk about  You mentioned the more recently balls'd up transfer window (one of many of course  ) and the fallout from that leaves me more concerned with losing chambers and sanchez for Saturdays game v the scum, than it does about exiting this cup  It is an absolute scandal that we have just 4 fit first team defenders at the moment (and one of them is gibbs  ) but we still have to play one of them tonight - can you imagine the commotion if chambers got injured tonight ? We all know that a gibbs injury is around the corner (isn't it always  ) and then we could be proper fcuked

Was expecting you to start singing your favourite song but maybe tonight is not the right time ?  :barscarf:

remember when our kids used to boss these cup competitions - beating full strength spuds, chavs etc

but then wenger decided they should play the same way as his first team.

still, at least we have the memories.

I'm sure the referee will get a mention given the animated performance on the touchline

Nothing he can say will even slightly ease the pain.....oh, other than "I got it wrong....the league cup matters and here's my resignation"

Southampton ended with virtually their strongest XI, and started with 7 or 8 of them. Always a tough draw, but pretty disappointing to go out seeing as we didn't get the beating I expected.
