Didn't catch the first half (heard it was poor) but we were extremely comfortable second half. Never looked troubled at the back and counter-attacked with pace, although I thought we should have created more from those chances.

It's a team we've struggled against in the past so a convincing win and a clean sheet is excellent. It is the poorest I have seen them play against us by a distance.

Delighted with the win, especially after last season's debacle, but we shouldn't forget the woeful first half, Kos's poor judgement, Alexis's off-day and some por moments from BFG, Monreal and others.

Also, I don't understand why AW left it so late to get Giroud etc off. Iwobi got about 5 mins.

Shame about the ManC result but we're edging closer each week and really happy with the number of clean sheets this season so far in the league :D

Think Cech is now only 1 or 2 cleansheets away from setting a new (pl) record. :barscarf:

Was seriously thinking we would lose today, so well done to the team. :barscarf:

Agreed. He's simply brilliant.
Hes reaching a level of consistent now with really impressive performances
The guy is different class, thank fuck he plays for us :barscarf:

Yet another league win . . . I could get used to this.

Nice to see Agent Flappy showing everyone else what we knew about him all along: he's bollocks. I was in too much of a bad mood to post after the Wednesday horror show but this is an excellent win. :barscarf:

We've won our most important game of the week :D :barscarf:

More class from Ozil.

And I wouldn't want Campbell to be playing for my life but a goal's a goal 8)

Didn't think we played too well, even when a goal up Voldemort and Ki could play through the centre of midfield with ease.

Would love to see Wenger rest key players in Munich, we are going to lose either way so why risk picking up an injury with the scum just 4 days later?

Alexis looked like he needs a break.

Has done all season to be honest and it's not surprising. Flogged him to death last year and then an extremely busy summer. He puts in such a shift every game.

Just goes to show what happens when u have an excellent keeper and are playing one thats prone to the boo boo.

We always had a great keeper from Kelsey (I've read and been told), Wilson, Rimmer, Jennings, Lukic, Seaman, Lehmann. The last 6 played for over 40 years between them. Obviously made the odd boo boo between them (maybe) but they were few and far between. For me a great goalkeeper breeds confidence into the players in front of him. It also might be the difference of not pulling someone down and getting a red card coz u trust ur keeper to make the save.

Since then we have absolute dog shite in the goal. Instead of having one of the best keepers (or in the case of Seaman and Jennings The best keeper) in the league, we have had some of the worst keepers in the league. Below Average Al (who had the honour of being our captain) and Flappy cost us loads of points and u could never rest easy being one up against anyone coz the next mistake was always around the corner. Chesney started off very good but got too cocky and took his eye off the ball (probably coz he had no competition) and never really got back to where he was. Ospina to be fair has done Ok but for me he ain't good enough to be a number 1 at a club with title ambitions. Good as a number 2.

Cech is excellent. Hopefully he'll do a Jennings and go on and play for years after being discarded and unwanted thought to be finished by the Middlesexonians.

Flappy's flap today brought back so many bad memories, the Wigan game in particular (the day I joined this site to give out but actually didn't post coz by the time I finished my rant it had timed out and didn't want to type it out again).

Anyway all brackets aside I am enjoying having a great keeper again. 3 points and another clean sheet :barscarf:

Didn't see game live , just Match of the Day...Campbell looked to have upped his game, Mert got away with a handball. Thought Kos goal was a good decision, overall three points and a clean sheet cannot be bad. As delighted as I am with Bellerin he does get caught out by rushing at the man in possession. Montero caught him out yesterday.

Nah, will toughen him up - he will need to get used to it over the years.
