Funny but sometimes I enjoy watching pre-season games more than league games - you get a chance to see new signings and young academy players playing against experienced players albeit in a relaxed enviroment. Its why I used to like the league cup games being on tv - I know steve o wants us to go all out for all domestic cups, but for me the league cup was always a competition to blood young players, but now we insist on playing experienced players in it and the young lads dont get a snitt and yet we still get nowhere near winning it
LB isn't his best position but can do a good job there.
LCB he's certainly going to get games there as injury cover and rotational wise for Gabriel, hes very good on the ball and positional play, reading the game quality.
Squad wise a huge upgrade on having to play Kiwior or Zinchenko, neither are good enough as we know long run of games.
We so badly need an attacking signing, and a box to box central mid....however the league won't be decided by ANYTHING WE DO, it will be decided by the amount of Canon fodder teams that try and give city a game...time after time last season teams just sat back and were hoping to not conced any more than 4
