Arsenal will announce Bukayo Saka’s new deal in the next weeks — all done and agreed since February, documents ready. It will be valid until 2028. ⚪️🔴 #AFC

Final details being sorted with Aaron Ramsdale as he’s gonna sign new deal very soon.

I'm saying nothing.

Well....perhaps only that I hope Italian mush is wrong. 8)
Italian mush wasn't wrong, a 2min30sec of Ramsdale telling us hes signed a new contract has just been released via Twitter (the only real source of transfer news  )

No surprise Mc. The Twitter rumours are only ever wrong when it's something I want to to happen. Eg. Arsenal about to sign proven, lethal 30 goals a season striker, or Arsenal sign a world class centre midfielder.....those type of rumours NEVER come true. :(

Man Ure and the Barcode Executioners being linked with Mane. 31 years old and no doubt decent wages but what an addition he would be. Bit of a nasty c.unt but an amazing record in this league. Worthy of a punt ??

Arsenal are preparing opening proposal for Declan Rice as he remains the priority target for summer transfer window; they could sign two midfielders depending on outgoings. 🚨⚪️🔴 #AFC

No negotiations now to respect West Ham; talks will take place in June.

This looks certain to happen, but it's a big mistake in my opinion. He's a little above average, technically ordinary and rarely does anything in any way spectacular. A £30- 40 million player at best, so talk of something around £100 million is bonkers. Maybe an up grade on what we've currently got, but not enough to take us to the level we're supposed to be looking to compete at.

I know nothing about Caicedo, other than some recent MOTD highlights and the game against us last week, but he looks to have more about him than Rice. Quick, good use of the ball and a spiky edge, which you need in midfield. Haven't seen enough to say he's worth 80 -100 million, but from what I have seen, I'd chose him over Rice.

I watched Rice closely last night. Thought he was anonymous.

Exactly. Very ordinary and not worth anywhere near the numbers being touted. Seems odds on that we're signing him though.

I've said it a few times on here, but I'd go after Amrabat at Fiorentina, although it looks like Utd might be closing in on him.

Agreed and he tends to do that a good bit, just go anonymous. He seems a bit inconsistent.

Still, normally I'd say yeah let's give the lad a chance to prove himself at a big club, but for a hundred million and probably two hundred grand or more a week in wages? Fuck that, for that money I want a proven top level alpha Predator type player that will almost single-handedly win you trophies. Certainly a player that would at least lift you to the next level (which as we all know, is the next level - thank you Arsene for educating us plebs). Not a bloke that might fail, might improve you a bit, but probably not by that much. Too many unknowns for such crazy money. :|

IF we sign rice, then it tells me that the chavs, the victims and manure all decided not to sign him - when it comes down to it, I suspect those clubs will blow us out of the water for any player if they really want him

Yes, I agree. I’ve been saying that for years, that we won’t sign a player that’s actually worth 70+ million, because the big boys will take him if he’s genuinely at that level.

It’s exactly why we got our fingers burnt so badly with Pepe. No one else was looking to pay 72 million for him (not sure he was being sought after for any price tbh) and that told me he wasn’t worth that much. We aren’t able to sign genuine top level, expensive players, because they’d rather join the other clubs.

It’s a negative view, but I can’t help that. Maybe, just maybe, Arteta has done enough this season to make the Arsenal look an attractive prospect again and he’s looking to get rid of the wage structure, so he’s making the right noises, but Rice is bang average and won’t move us to the level we’re looking at.

Yes, I liked him when I first saw him at Fulham and he has a nasty streak too.

I’d still go after Amrabat though.
