i was a fair bit away in section 11 - did anyone see someone being stretched away in the first half i'm sure i saw 5 or 6 yellow coats with someone lying on a stretcher coming toward the grange endgus ceasar is a legend wrote:All I can comment on is what I heard.
You hardly heard the Arsenal fans and when you did it was the mundane "We hate Tott................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"!
Cardiff wasn't a lot better but you could at least here them.
and the cardiff fans in that corner clapped him offChunky Monkey wrote:i was a fair bit away in section 11 - did anyone see someone being stretched away in the first half i'm sure i saw 5 or 6 yellow coats with someone lying on a stretcher coming toward the grange endgus ceasar is a legend wrote:All I can comment on is what I heard.

I watched it on Setanta Ireland and have to admit I couldn't hear us at all... Couldn't hear anything about Tottenham, or anything positive to encourage the team. Understandably, the Cradiff fans were alot more Vocal. But saying all that, this is the first time in a while I haven't been to an away game, so I know that the Arsenal fans are much better than is put across on TV.
Im heading to Goodison durning the week. I thought it was class there last year, great athmosphere and the result was even better. I do hope the Tottenham chants are kept at a minimum... Everton really dont give a shit how much we hate spurs.

Well you have just argued against your own point Lethal. When youre in the away end you can't really tell what comes from the rest of the ground. So, those of us who watched on TV found that the Arsenal fans didnt make much noise and, to be honest, I hardly saw them move. The Cardiff fans were not non-stop but when they weren't singing you could barely hear a thing.Lethal wrote:well what you hear on the tv and what you hear at the ground is going to be different
but the cardiff fans, bar 10 minutes before the game were shit.
maybe if we had a few more decent players we could come up with more songs then the usual eboue kaka shite.
I can think of many teams fans who with the same level of support I would have heard on the telly, with the same type of game.
just got back from the game and being in the away end today along with upton park and chelsea was the best atmosphere all season. may of sounded different on t,v but being on the terraces was quality. constant singing the big arsenal flag got passed along the away end, apart from the result it was a good away day i thought.
