Signing Anelka wouldn't bother me at all ... he proved to be great business before and I would like to think he would appreciate things a little more now he is older.
On purely footballing terms I cannot think of another striker that is better suited to us. He has pace, he is direct and would hit the floor running.
I'm sure should we sign him and he bagged a hat-trick on the opening day all would be forgiven.

maybe wengers letting fred hang about because there are so few others with any experience of actually winning trophies if he could stay injury free then surely it would be easier to have a more accurate view if our swedish flier is still any good, there were flashes last season, the goal against Bolton but why the fuck are we letting Babel go to liverpool, hed be perfec'

Quite right mate, I (just about) remember Charlie George .What a geezer. He used to stand in the Clock End before he played for us apparently. I agree ... I do feel thou that the club have gone down this road themselves. They have gone abroad for players & youngsters so as a consequence these players don't have the same bond for the club as someone born & bred in islington ... This shortens there time at the club & 8 years from henry should be celebrated as unusual ..

back to bojinov. i think the deal sounds to good to be true. 5.5mil plus a 21yr old prospect for a 30yr old swede whos best days are 2yrs behind him. (he seemed to peak very early in his career).
i would take it
. but i would feel guilty afterwards cos i love freddie
oh and about player loyalty. not many managers have shown loyalty to players when they are past it, managers have to do what is best for the club.
and i think the same goes for the players if they are not enjoying it move on. i love loyal players and we where spoilt with them in the 90's. but if everyone was loyal it would be boring.
i would take it

If la viola are willing to sell bojinov, after already selling another striker(luca toni) then I would be asking the question why. I know he was considered hot prospect a few years ago but history will show many examples of these players that just didn't make it. If Arsene suggested Bojinov 1st then I would be happier of course. As regards signing anelka or martins, I would def opt for the former as he is more suited to our game and I would be prepared to grant him a 2nd chance
