Adebayor missing start of season

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Like Nigels right foot I probably wont be around that much but when I am I hope it'll be worth the wait. Having recently moved to Happy Hammers territory I'm a bit starved of proper football talk, with people who know what they're talking about !! Having read many good threads here I thought I'd join in the fun.

Yeah, I'm not convinced you've come to the right place then.

Welcome aboard all the same.

Welcome WRF, may your posts be creative but without bite (like our forward line).

I think the harshness about baby Theo is tough. I liked his touches against Lazio, and he fed in some (okay one) great crosses. He is developing nicely and carries a portion of my limited optimism.

On the dark side of my Arsenal faith, Adebayor's premature injury exposes an already threadbare squad. When are we going to buy Anelka? I have gone past my nails and am now gnawing on my wrist. Are the summers getting longer??

I'm not being harsh on Theo. In fact my view is the exact opposite. I'd hate to see so much promise killed off by playing him out of position. Don't forget we've even seen him play at right back (extreme circumstances and chasing the game I know, but all the same!) Just cos it worked with TH doesn't mean it will work with everyone. Hleb for example. Another player who is never a wide man but, as the weekend showed, played in his best position is a different player and displays the reasons Arsene bought him.

Far be it for me to question AW cos his knowledge is greater than mine, just offering my opinion.

Possibly a blessing in disguise as gives Bendtner his chance early and at a time when he has got a few games under his belt pre-season.

Still think will be RVP and Eduardo for Fulham unless he changes formation.
