As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'd like to share my experience of the Emerald Isle wit yis.
In 95 or 96 I was over with my girlfriend for a fortnight. Her parents
are Irish from Cavan & Kerry. Both my sets of Grandparents were
Irish, from Dublin and Belfast.
So it was a sort of homecoming for both of us.
Had the greatest time of my life in Kerry staying in Killarney meeting
her family and getting pissed with the locals. It was great.
However, the last few days in Dublin were not so friendly.
Driving round the City I was greeted with more than a few V-signs
and one charming fella spat on my bonnet and called me an English
*word censored* and to fuck off back to England. He then called me a red-coat.
There was a spot of bother prior to our visit involving England supporters
In Dublin. Maybe that was fresh in their minds.
Anyway you could say I saw both sides of the coin on that trip.
I must say though, the good points far outweighed the bad.
every big city has its big amount of assholes hagbard,, yes there are a lot of manyoo cu*nts in this country but also hell of a lot of gooners,, nite of cl final we had over 200 in our supporters club pub,, difference between us and them is that if u meet a gooner in ireland you know that he knows his football,, man u cu*nts think its cool 2 support them,,

I like Irish pubs, I haven't been in there too often (maybe 10 at the most?), but love the atmosphere.
One called The Mercantile, in the Rocks in Sydney, and during the Rugby World Cup in 2003 when Ieland played Australia in Melbourne the family went down. Many good times in the appropriately name 'Pugg Mahones'.
It's funny that the Irish are colonising the world through Irish bars! You cannot go anywhere without one - and thank God, because who else will provide me wth the black stuff that I crave?
