Reyes

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i dont think he really gave a shit, i think he found it laughable so no harm done. i didnt go to the games cos frankly, pre season is pish, but me and my old man had a good laugh at the rubbish booing. i liked reyes, disappointed when he left, but there was nothing malicious in what he did.

whether he gave a shit or not isn't really the issue is it?
Suppose we all chanted "sit down you paedophile" at Wenger. Would it make it okay if he didn't give a shit :?:

The lad didn't deserve it and it was a shame it happened.

Agreed. He was a good player and he didn't bad mouth us. And he scored a few great goals - two against the chavs in particular. 8)

So this is our "new" type of fan then? Boo ex-players? Wankers.

It sums up the sort of shite support that Ashburton Grove was built for; to allow an extra 30,000 'fans' to watch and voice their i'll informed little minds. :banghead:

Too think that this weekend saw one Invincible line up

and we booed him

I thought and think it was a fucking disgrace....Arsenal fans ( i say losely) were out of order...

I remember that goal he scored at Fratton Park....the 1-1 draw in the unbeaten season.....that was one of the most important goals to be scored....and he contributed....also the goal against Boro to extend our run to the greatest of all time......

Booing Reyes...well Im sorry but anyone who did that should go and follow the N17 scum

I watched the Ems Cup from my Sofa, but I assumed he had said something in the press on the day of the match to get booed? Obviously not then....

Our supporters are fucking wierd. And a lot of them are total *word censored*, it saddens me to say.

Agreed!

The strange thing is half the "supporters" at The Emirates Cup probably had no idea who he is!

So true

In previous games I've had to explain why we were booing Cole, cheering Pires, and singing Rocky Rocky.... :banghead:

He got booed in Amsterdam a few years back when Athletico were playing before us, not on. Ok, may have been a bit of a twat about his transfer (the thumbs up pic of him by a screenshot of Marca springs to mind) but was still a good player and certainly not worthy of abuse.

We gave him a standing ovation when he came off. Probably OTT as well, but sod it!
