Reyes

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Reyes

Post by CurlyRob76 »

Why were we booing Reyes on Saturday, i know he did not set the world alight when he was here but he did score a few important goals. I always thought arsenal fans showed a bit of class when it came to ex-players.

Reyes WAS part of the INVINCIBLES.
Boing him is a no brainer imo.

Just like the "Stand up if you hate Totnum" :banghead: :banghead:

He wouldn't have thought it was directed at him, not with Eboue on the pitch 8)

I thought it was a bit of a shame really. Okay so he was a bit of a mummys boy that didn't like the cold but he did a decent job whilst he was here. He also never slagged the club or his former colleagues off when he left.

I don't agree with the "part of the invincibles" argument though! I can think of one particular snivelling little *word censored* that was also part of that team. Doesn't mean I dislike him any less.

I thought it was a shame really - he played some amaaaazing football for us while he was here...and let's be honest (mummy's boy and all) the way those scumbag mancs kicked him out of the game when our unbeaten run was stolen from us....by mancsum and spineless riley ...just shows how dangerous they knew he was...

It would have been good just to have heard one round/chorus of

Jose Antonio!

Made a point of clapping him myself, he never did anything that warranted a booing in my eyes.

I too was disgusted at the booing of reyes over the last few days  Fair enough the boy never settled but he was far from the flop that he was labelled to be  There was a spell pre that manc kicking when he was the stand out player in the league hence why the dirty neville sisters set about kicking the guy from pillar to post that day :x To the day I die I will hate that *word censored* riley for the shitiness and totally biast preformance he gave that day
