Arsenal legend Ian Wright cant see shaun in an arsenal shirt

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

WRONG!!! IT WAS MANCHESTER CITY WHO MADE THE DECISION BASED ON MONEY, NOT SWP!!

I THINK YOU WILL FIND THAT CHELSEA OFFERED ALMOST DOUBLE WHAT ARSENAL AND OTHER INTERESTED CLUBS WERE PREPARED TO PAY FOR SWP AND THEREFORE GOT THEIR MAN.

SAME THING HAPPENED WITH ESSIEN AND A FEW OTHER PLAYERS. LIKE I'VE SAID ELSEWHERE, MONEY TALKS.

Actually that is half true. I know this from my mate who works in football. Arsenla had agreed a deal with City and had offered terms to SWP. Then Chelsea expressed an interest and he asked to wait and see what terms were going to be offered to him. Therefore, he chose to wait and see whether more money was on offer. Naturally it was and naturally Chelsea would outbid us and City (rightly) sold to the highest bidder. If he had desperately wanted to play for us then the money would not have been an issue.

The only player who actually turned down more money to play for us rather than Chelsea was Reyes of all people and I know this as my mate was involved in the deal (he's not an agent).

Arsenal legend Ian Wright can't see his Chelsea playing son Shaun Wright-Phillips ever pulling on a Gunners shirt.
He said: "I've tried to get him into Arsenal, but Arsene Wenger doesn't want him. What do the fans want me to do, camp outside the training ground?"

Despite his Arsenal connections, Wright also says he would have no qualms about supporting Tottenham should Wright-Phillips end up at White Hart Lane.

and yes another copy and paste lol.....sorry!!!!
That's classic misrepresentation. Ian Wright said this on Talksport the other afternoon. the "quote" "unquote" is true about him camping outside the training ground. He DID NOT say he would support Spurs. He said what was the harm in Ian supporting SEAN if he were at Spurs? Something totally different to "I'd support Tottenham if SWP was there"

The press really are gutter at times.
