spot on. And i'd also like to ad that that Eboue played a blinder. His work rate was better then anyone else on that pitch. If everyone else put as much effort in as Eboue then we wouldnt have so many whiney posts in here.hadareud wrote:he was first in the celebration for the first 3 goals.
Can't we just have a nice thing for bloody once? We played well, we scored 4 goals and could have had another 4 and we kept a clean sheet for once.
Do we really need something negative to hold on to every bloody time?
4-0, Clean Sheet but has anyone seen Cesc?

But he lost possession so easily like Diaby which gave Wigan for counter-attack quickly...to begin with, he was horrible from the Mancity Game toohadareud wrote:btw: his passing % was 79%. hardly horrible. He gave away 13 from 60 passes, that's completely average for an attacking midfielder.
I don't know what game you were watching people.
Average performance, not horrible. not even bad.
RVP was horrible too, how many chances he missed?! Skype rated him a score of 5!
Sorry mate, it's not about Class, it's Cesc's attitude. He seems like losing interests to play for us now like last season!!donaldo wrote:Cesc as well as Arshavin is our only player who could be classed as world class. But he has not just had one average game.He was poor v City and Liege.hadareud wrote:fuck me, one average game and all this crap comes up.
He's had plenty of worse games for us and nobody said a word. His start to the 07-08 season for instance (the first 2 or 3 games) he's been horrible for instance.
On Swales comment about Song and Cesc.Form is temporary Class is permanant.
Stat is not the only thing, otherwise Denilson would be our best player last seasonhadareud wrote:btw: his passing % was 79%. hardly horrible. He gave away 13 from 60 passes, that's completely average for an attacking midfielder.

If you can't see his body motion in the last few games he played, you must be blindhadareud wrote:he was first in the celebration for the first 3 goals.

i won't mind if fabregas plays like today every week. he scored a goal carrying a knock, and made that incredible pass to van persie who chested it alone with the keeper and shot it wide. a brilliant pass, bendtner wouldn't have missed that goal.
a player who scores injured ang gives that pass, well, i want him in my team!

Did Cesc not play in the confederations cup, and consequently miss the start of our pre-season?
I am a bit concerned about his start to the season but he is possibly still playing himself back into match fitness.
Agree with what somebody in an earlier post said about Diaby though. How many more poor standard performances is he going to put in before he is replaced by Ramsey for instance?

Didn't you notice he was limping since the 75' minute? He barely walked on the pitch and scored a goal.. And than you expect him to celebrate his goal like crazy?lagerisgood1981 wrote:It's not just his stats though... He barely broke into a smile when he scored the 4th. I know he was carrying a knock, but he is the bloody captain and if he can't be happy when we score ......
Your right though, when he looks around at the start of the match he must shake his head and think what crap he has alongside him.
Cesc is a ledge, but unfortunately I can't see him there at the start of next season unless something totally un-wenger like happens in January
Edit: Didn't notice you mentioning that knock. Still,. I dont think he did any wrong there.

Thanks Hadareud. Interesting. I came away from the game underwhelmed by his performance to be honest although the stats would seem to indicate that he did much right. Is that because it's sometimes the mistakes that stick in the mind (notwithstanding the late, great, mazy run and shot) or that there are no figures for i) lacklustre approach ii) being caught out of position iii) speed of thought etc? I'm not being negative - I do think he's improving - just wondering out loud. I actually thought Van P had an excellent game though he patently missed some chances: he harried, made himself available, came deep, fed others, was always dangerous at set pieces and worked for the team until the very end. His stats however, may show profligacy in the extreme.hadareud wrote:41 passeslittlefire wrote:Hadareud, have you got the stats on Song today?
36 successful (87 %)
4 interceptions
19 tackles (14 successful)
brilliant tackling performance.

Fair point but at this moment in time Song is influencing games and fabregas is not.augie wrote:Swale I would agree with you that at this moment in time song is in slightly better form than cesc but there is a world of difference in saying that and claiming that right now song is a better footballer. I could not disgaree with anybody slating cesc's performances of late (although we may differ on the possible reasons) but song lost a bit of possession today too although both were left totally in the shade by the enigma that is diabyHow is this fool still playing for our club ?
