I'm also thinking 1-1. Sunderland are pretty handy this season and we're usually shite after the wanky international breaks*
*That's my opinion on international breaks by the way, not breaks where different nations *****.

Out of interest mate, what do you think of Lee Cattermole? as during pre season i put his name on here as someone we should possibly look into signing as i think he is a good central midfield player, likes a tackle, works hard and decent on the ball...All i got was a lot of stick and people telling me how silly i was to suggest such a 'shit' player!
I think you may be missing him at the moment? what do you think?
Also wanted to say i always enjoy your posts on this forum, always worth a read, should be a good game next saturday, but im going for a 3-1 gunners win, especially missing Jones as he could have proved a handful for us!

cheers marra!
Lee Cattermole was someone that, when we were linked with him, I wasn't too impressed with. Like many I was saying that Cana would be a good defensive midfielder but that we would really need an attacking player alongside him
In the end, Bruce decided to partner the 2 defensive players in CM and he really has been a revelation, and he is someone we have missed very badly. Very comfortable on the ball, great workrate, not afraid to fly into tackles- he has, for me, been our most impressive player up until his injury, impressing me more than Cana who has also been a very good signing
I fully expect the lad to be an important part of the england side within the next two years and i reckon a top 4 club will come calling for him in the meantime if he can keep up his level of performance
Song seems to be doing a very good job for the arsenal this season, but cattermole is certainly someone i would expect you'd be keeping an eye on. Obviously now that we have a fair bit of financial muscle the asking price would be high, but he certainly wouldnt be out of place in the arsenal side from what i've seen of him so far (he'd be a good squad player with potential to become a regular, but he needs to keep up this level of performance for the rest of the season if he wants to be seriously linked to the likes of the top 4)
Other clubs, apparently, are already interested and, although the source is hardly great, this highlights the fact that he has had a very impressive start and mentions the likes of inter and barca monitoring his progress

I for one would love to see Cattermole at Inter, simply for the comedy value.

I think there must be a parallel universe Inter and Jose Mourinho.... because i find it hard to believe that the Jose Mourinho i know of is busting a gut to pair up Diaby and Cattermole in the Inter midfield, unless of course Inter are about to be demoted to Serie B on the back of some scandal the rest of us are unaware of...

cattermole will be out marra but, to anyone thinking he's shite, erm, he's not like. As i say, i thought he was when he came to us as i hadnt seen much of him but, having seen him, he is a very good player, and will play for england (feel free to bump this if he doesnt, i dont even think he'll do it with SAFC, i reckon he'll have moved upwards first)
Anyway, cattermole is out, but we still have lorik cana, who is as hard as fuck- my worry is whether we will be able to keep the ball well enough to keep the pressure off the back 4- if jones was on it'd be different as we'd have an "out ball" but without him it'll be a battle
still, i dont want to come on here and be negative about SAFC, we deserved a win at old trafford and deservedly beat liverpool, so we arent afraid of anyone- we just have to make sure we turn up rather than putting in a burnley/ stoke/ birmingham performance!
TBH I'm just glad we can go into a game against the arsenal thinking "maybe, we could nick this", when we went down with 15 points that seemed light years away. Cant wait for the match
