As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If you'd said we'd be 6 points behind with 12 games to go at the start of the season I'd take it.
Let's get behind the team and hope we can pull it off !
Yes it is "just" six points but it is six points behind two teams who have consistently performed better than us and that also have the experience of winning things.
So infact, six points means we have to go the rest of the season unbeaten while both Man Yoo and Dynamo Fulham lose a minimum of two games.

You're not the only person to say that mate.
Can I ask a question though, so what ?
What difference does it make if you think the league is poor ? If we are all playing in it then why does that make a difference ?
It seems like sometimes people have to find something negative...maybe it's just a state of mind.
Either way we as a group of fans just have to give it a real go. The atmos last night was poor and explained elsewhere the players know its their doing. Manuel and others are copping untold abuse during a game which is unhealthy. Manny probably realises that he isnt at the races but he is still in an Arsenal shirt trying so Crunting him out whilst the game is on aint gonna help. Whether you like certain players or not keep the vibe positive and see where it takes us.

"Just" six points though!
winning things.
Yes and before last night it was "Nine" points. Those two teams last night didn't perform so well did they ? Fucking hell what is wrong with some people. I didn't say we are going to win it, I said we have a chance. So try and be positive. In my mind 6 points behind with 12 to go is a chance.

I agree with that. Someone said on the radio a couple of weeks ago if Arsenal win the championship this year they will be the worst ever winners of the competition i think whoever wins it this year will be the worst ever winners of the title
Are you sure ? Seriously ? In over 100 years of football this is the worst EVER league ?
And anyway, what does that mean ? So if we do somehow manage to win it what you won't celebrate ? You won't enjoy it ? Oh yeah we're league champions, but fcuk me what a shit league it was...not trying to be difficult, but seriously I just do not get it..

I don't think it's a negative thing Al, but I do honestly feel that we're lucky to be still be in with a shout, in what I believe is a poor premier league this season.
Edit... Just seen your other post above, of course I will celebrate it if we win it.....

Fair enough mate. I still don't see what difference it makes though if you think the league is poor. We can only beat what is in front of us no ?

Right lets get this straight...... A radio pundit said if Arsenal win it they will be the worst winners of the league ever!!! i didnt say this.... What i think is this season has been the poorest in terms of quality i can ever remember, now i cant remember the season of 1934-35 for example just since the early to mid 80's. I honestly think whoever wins the league this season isnt up to the standard of previous seasons

That's true enough Al, and I've just edited my post above, to say of course. I would celebrate winning it, just wished Wenger had strengthened our squad as this season's premiership is extremely winnable.

I understand but was using this as an intro into my thoughts on the quality this season

But you didn't say anything after that ?????? Anyway carry on....
Whoever wins it this season will be the best champions ever.... Better than the double winners of '71, 98, 2002, unbeatables of 2004, manure of 1999, Liverpool during the 70's
