Its a difficult thing really I think its a bit harsh to have a go at the OP as the things he has written are the things we all have moaned about and if he doesnt want to give his money to the club when he doesnt agree with how they spend it then he has the right especially in these hard times but also you have to follow your club through thick and thin even if we are having more thin times than the DB10 days....... Maybe he didnt explain himself well enough

They have more information, sports science has moved on, they have incredible facilities....I could go on.
I think to earn the money that these guys get paid they need to be super fit as standard, then demonstrate characteristics of winners, characteristics of men who take responsibility and take charge - which takes them over and above any athlete.

Totally agree.marcengels wrote: I think to earn the money that these guys get paid they need to be super fit as standard, then demonstrate characteristics of winners, characteristics of men who take responsibility and take charge - which takes them over and above any athlete.
It has been the lack of the "Winning Mentality" since the 2007 - 2008 season that has really upset me.

You only have to watch us when we play Man Utd or Chelsea to see you need more than fitness. They have a winning mentality we dontmarcengels wrote:They have more information, sports science has moved on, they have incredible facilities....I could go on.

To put things into view a bit as well, QPR charge 700 pounds for a season ticket. I pay 850 for mine and if you think that you're seeing some of the best players, Champions League football in one of Europes finest stadiums for 150 pounds extra it puts things into perspective a bit...and QPR are a mid table Championship club.

Now things get a bit tough he turns his back?
No doubt there are issues with the team which we debate at length on here, and if he has financial problems then I can understand that, but for any other reasons it is nonsense.
For me and many it is a case of "To have and to hold, in sickness and in health"
I have very little time for fickle fans.

Agreed! I might not like the fact that we have not invested (in the team) but when watching arsenal through the early eighties I never once thought of turning my back.
If the guy had chucked his ticket in through lack of cash I could understand - as that is the only reason I would give my season ticket up.

The correlation between what we spend and what the club spend is the main bone of contention with me though, and one I think the club frequently ignores, especially Wenger when he goes on about '13 years CL qualification etc' but neglects to mention that the club has squeezed out or put into debt its most loyal supporters.
What players get paid is relative to the market and if anything we moan that our wages our too rigid. What we pay isnt relative though. Fulham pay £200 a year and had European football. Likewise Barcelona or Inter Milan season tickets. When I tried to get a single for the scum home game last season, it was £92! The friggin' opera is no more than £50. That said, I don't think giving up a season ticket will change that - there are better ways to get that message across.

Man's got a point if you ask this mother fucker.
The dude was 14 when he got his first season ticket. 14. Not his fault he wasn't shot out of his fathers balls many years earlier. I was 15 when Bergkamp first signed and like to think I have a good appreciation of the past but in reality I guess I know little more first hand than the Wenger years really.
But I tell you what if I had a ST and they wanted me to stump up again this year, I'd think twice. Especially if Fabregas does end up leaving. I have witnessed first hand someone I can genuinely say is one of the supreme talents I have seen in my lifetime be totally fucking wasted at the club. It's not like we're developing Steve Morrows or Ian Sellys and signing the John Jensens and Glenn Helders to go along side them. We've had Fabregas and continued the Jensen and Helder policy to go alongside him.
That shit hurts man.

You sure you he doesn't mean "To be had and to hold on while while they put it up your arse, in cheating and in deception"

Look loyalty works both ways no - or are those supporters who compare this to a marriage the type that if their catch their husband or wife cheating instead of confronting them for fear of losing them will just ignore it rather than risk losing them. Who will go so far not to lose them as even driving them to and from their lovers then fixing them breakfast after waiting all night in the car for them to finish shagging?
We are owed the same loyalty and trust from the Board we have shown it or at least we should call the Board what it is if its unwilling to give us that little at least - typical greedy businessman no better than anyone else in the business.
