We won't be outnumbered - most (99.99%) of Oirish manure fans won't go to watch a reserve game... because it's not on the telly...Nick Bendtners Ego wrote:Got Tickets for the Man Ure game today . Ignore the advice of this ignorant twat. You are no more likely to be mugged as a result of visiting a pub in Tallaght, than you would if visiting one in the city centre. Also, there really is no need to fear wearing your colours.DB10GOONER wrote: Word of advice to any non-Dubs going; be careful in Tallaght (it's a dangerous kip) so don't drink in the pubs out there (especially with your big culchy "mug me" accents), instead drink in the city centre.
And don't wear Arsenal colours if going alone. There have been incidents of "patriotic" fans () of the Oirish league having a pop at Oirish fans of foreign clubs before.

The Shamrock Rovers /Arsenal reserves game is now on at 12.30pm on Sunday 22nd. This is to avoid a clash with the Dublin /Cork football semi-final...I live within a five minute walk of Tallaght Stadium and I would advise caution but Tallaght is no better or worse than any part of Dublin...I do attend some Shamrock Rovers games and there is an element who leave a bit to be desired..(not all Tallaght natives) but again be cautious. I would agree with the colours thing as there will always be someone ready to have a go. Especially Arsenal colours. Ireland full of plastic Msan Utd fans , plastic Celtic fans and a few plastic Liverpool fans. Expect the usual cliched rubbish about Arsenal cheating etc..

This gobshite is a troll. Any Dub will tell you Tallaght is a well dodgy area. Not everyone is a knacker out there (like any area there are decent people) but there are thousands of knackers out there all the same and alot of them will be attracted to hanging around looking for people to pick off at events like this.Dangerous Kip Dweller wrote:Ignore the advice of this ignorant twat. This troll prick also has very obviously never been to a LOI game. There are ALWAYS a good chunk of "fans" that will take a pop at fans wearing British club jerseys. Better to avoid the risk - don't wear colours if alone.

Oh it's a shithole alright, and if you've been there you'll know that. Not the worst shithole in Dublin (that honour goes to Summerhill) but it is still pretty shit. They've done alot to try and improve the facilities and curtail the hoodies and antisocial stuff and there are a couple of decent estates out there but the cuntbag count is still very high.REBEL GOONER wrote:come on db10. explain yourselfDangerous Kip Dweller wrote:Ignore the advice of this ignorant twat. Good summation. ALL Dublin clubs have that element to some extent. I used to go to Shels games and there was always some arseholes trying to act like hooligans.Bradywasking wrote:The Shamrock Rovers /Arsenal reserves game is now on at 12.30pm on Sunday 22nd. Rovers fans have been one of the few we have had trouble with at Derry City matches, although they seem to attract a contingent from Belfast when they play in Derry, and I have been told that this contingent are also Cliftonville fans.DB10GOONER wrote:Good summation. Reminds me of when a mate told me about his job relocating to Tallaght some years ago. Some of his co-workers from outside the area were so fearful of being mugged on the five minute walk to The Square (shopping centre) at lunchtime that they’d only travel in groups of four. They soon realised that they were being ridiculous. I wouldn’t hold out the same hope for you. The Tallaght you describe sounds more like Oliver Twist’s London, than the ordinary Dublin suburb it is.
Also, at any away game there’s a chance you’ll come across some idiot who takes exception to your colours, but I’d see the games in Tallaght as being more like a trip to Everton, than one to sp**s or ch€l$ki. You’d be very unlucky to come to grief. And if anyone lets the rare opportunity of wearing their colours to see an Arsenal team play in Dublin go to waste because of some ‘pretend he knows it all’, scaremonger, then more fool them.
Finally, your foul mouthed moronic ranting would do any any knacker proud.
