MOST UNDERRATED ARSENAL PLAYER IN OUR HISTORY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He would have been a really good player but for his knee injury that ended his career, always remember him being headbutted by Kenny Burns at Highbury when Burns played for Birmingham. He was an fucking animal...

Edit.... It just happened after this... found the picture, I think Powling was standing in front of a defensive wall at the time... :?

On his day Stewart Robson was one of the best midfielders we had shame about his injuries I sure he would been as good or better than Bryan Robson

He would have been defintely, always remember when he broke into the first team, a really good battling midfield player, who unfortunately, got kicked off the park in the 1983 F.A. cup semi-final against Manure, and was never the same player thereafter.

MARTIN HAYES....

Such a talent - but never hit the heights he was capable of (IMO)

I believe due to a massive lack of self confidence on his part. Couldn't shoot to save his life, but great ball control...... a naturally gifted player who was v difficult to disposess

your dead right about Richie..He actually started as a centre half but imo wasnt tall enough.
Then they put him in midfield and put in some tough tackles..It was a shame his injuries stopped him progressing.
