SEX. Maybe you should have sex. With a girl. Seriously, try it, you might like itUSMartin wrote:I haven't seenn this movie in quite awhile but thought it was worth revisiting today

"Connors awakens the next morning, however, to find it is again February 2, and his day unfolds in exactly the same way. He is aware of the repetition, but everyone else seems to be living February 2 exactly the same way and for the first time. This recursion repeats the following morning as well, over and over again.."
The movie's conflict which is re-living the same day over and over has to be resolved and Bill Murray's character hass to take action to make changes for that to happen
"But as he comes to the realization that Groundhog Day may be his fate for eternity, he also comes to other realizations, such as that his actions have no long term consequences, but that knowledge, especially as it relates to Rita, can be a powerful and dangerous thing. But he is given opportunity after opportunity to get the day "right"..."
Now some sarky Gooners have taken to referring to the last several years at the club - where the same pattern of losing key players replaced by unproven youngsters who inevitably have to play moore than they should because of injuries resulting in Arsenel winning nothing over and over each year - as "Groundhog Day".
In fact you can see the similarities between Arsenal in recent years and the movie. Every year we have been a decent side that was one or two players from being a really good side, either because we were unwilling to invest in keeping those players we already had, unwilling to invest in replacing those players we sold or let leave for nothing, or simply unwilling and unable to replace them when they became injured. So every year instead of winning a trophy or two or even contending to the very end we have fallen frustratingly short the same for the same reasons.
Just as Bill Murray's character had to figure out what was happening and why and what he had to do break this cycle and wake up on a new day, so do we, since no matter who is making these decisions, it's obvious they will continue to be made this way at least three more years at Arsenal unless we try to influence what is happening and it will just be more of the same awful unpleasant Groundhog Day we have been experiencing with our Club.
Cheers - but I have had plenty of that and continue to now.RoscommonGooner wrote:SEX. Maybe you should have sex. With a girl. Seriously, try it, you might like itUSMartin wrote:I haven't seenn this movie in quite awhile but thought it was worth revisiting today

I have answered you repeatedly. If you really believe that simply not being as close to bankruptcy as some some teams may be should be our sold concern God bless you, mate.northbankbren wrote:I dont get it.....is us unhappy about something?![]()
