He is aware of the repetition, but everyone else seems to be living February 2 exactly the same way and for the first time. The movie's conflict which is re-living the same day over and over has to be resolved and Bill Murray's character hass to take action to make changes for that to happen

"But as he comes to the realization that Groundhog Day may be his fate for eternity, he also comes to other realizations, such as that his actions have no long term consequences, but that knowledge, especially as it relates to Rita, can be a powerful and dangerous thing. But he is given opportunity after opportunity to get the day "right"..."

Now some sarky Gooners have taken to referring to the last several years at the club - where the same pattern of losing key players replaced by unproven youngsters who inevitably have to play moore than they should because of injuries resulting in Arsenel winning nothing over and over each year - as "Groundhog Day".

In fact you can see the similarities between Arsenal in recent years and the movie. Every year we have been a decent side that was one or two players from being a really good side, either because we were unwilling to invest in keeping those players we already had, unwilling to invest in replacing those players we sold or let leave for nothing, or simply unwilling and unable to replace them when they became injured. So every year instead of winning a trophy or two or even contending to the very end we have fallen frustratingly short the same for the same reasons.

Just as Bill Murray's character had to figure out what was happening and why and what he had to do break this cycle and wake up on a new day, so do we, since no matter who is making these decisions, it's obvious they will continue to be made this way at least three more years at Arsenal unless we try to influence what is happening and it will just be more of the same awful unpleasant Groundhog Day we have been experiencing with our Club.

USM I really wonder how long you have supported this club for? Groundhog day would be going from 71-79 without a trophy, or for some who still support this club 53-71. Thats 18 years in the wilderness. We support this club because we love it through the good times and the bad. Because of the history we have and the way that we are admired in the football world. For our traditions and for doing things the "Arsenal" way. That way is to live within our means and not flog ourselves like a cheap whore to the highest bidder to be some rich sugar daddys play thing. Every single club of a similar stature as us in the English Premier League has some kind of outside investment, we are self funding and that is something that I am proud of. It is the "Arsenal" way and admire the way the current board are looking to continue this with the fanshare scheme. In my opinion the board are doing a good job in maintaining our position as regular diners at Europes top table without jeopardising our future. I remember the days when we could only wish to have the AC Milans, Juventus's, Barcelona's and Real Madrids coming to our place, now it is a regular occurence. I really don't think you realise how lucky you are to support The Arsenal and everything it stands for. :barscarf: :barscarf:

I mean no offense but frankly you might have been a girl for all I know. Because that's the only way you'd have a chance with me. Thing is even if you were or I fancied men you wouldn't have a chance because I find you to be a nasty little fellow and that is just unpleasant and thus unattractive in anyone of any sex - if it came to that - worth the effort for me.

And if i did like pricks I'd LOVE you for sure because you certainly have shown yourself to be one.

 Maybe - seems a reliaible way to assess things like this

I'm just a prick who cares a bit more about the consequences of what I say or who I might say it to. But yes I can be a prick so maybe I have good prickdar as a result

And since we're both pricks you should sign the petition then and help a fellow prick out. You'd be helping Arsenal too maybe.

Oh and US Im still waiting for the name of that team.
I have answered you repeatedly. If you really believe that simply not being as close to bankruptcy as some some teams may be should be our sold concern God bless you, mate.

But if you really believe there is no middle ground between what we are doign and risking bankruptcy you are world-class naive and gullible. And all anyone who may question the way things are seriously suggesting in venturing somewhere within that middle ground. Now maybe you should answer this - do you sincerely believe if we spend any more than we are now that bankruptcy is an inevitable outcome - yes or no?

I do not mean to seem pushy but I think this is a genuine yes-or-no question and answer. Do you believe that any deviation form what we are doing now would lead automatically to bankruptcy?
